Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 Sales are Big in Japan

At this point, everyone should expect Pokemon to sell well. After all, with 1.16 million pre-orders, Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 Versions were inevitably going to do well. How well, I ask rhetorically? Why, those 1.16 million pre-orders translatedinto 1.6 million sales in two days.

Those numbers are pretty good no matter where you go, but in Japan, those are some whopping digits. In fact, it's the first game to sell a million units this year in that time frame, on any console.

It's the third-fastest selling game on the Nintendo DS, playing third-string to its elder sibling, Pokemon Black and White, which sold 2.6 million units back in 2010 in its first two days, making it the fastest-selling Nintendo DS title of all time in Japan.

Now, here in the States, we have to wait until Autumn to play Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, but there's nothing stopping you from walking down memory lane with Pokemon Black and White. If new blood's what you're seeking, don't forget that Pokemon Conquest is out now.
