Double Fine's Kickstarter Surpasses 3 Million

Double Fine has already exceeded expectations once before with its Kickstarter campaign, having surpassed its original goal of $400,000 within hours of the campaign's start, but this news brings it to a whole 'nother level. The Kickstarter campaign for Double Fine Adventure has just passed $3 million and still has 7 hours left to go until it ends. In lieu of their success, Double Fine will be streaming the final two hours of the fundraiser from their UStream channel.
Also, the campaign has already sold out of the four $10,000 top tier pledges which would give the donors a lunch with Tim Schafer and a tour of the Double Fine offices.
Think about that for a sec; four people donated at least $10,000 or more. I am sufficiently blown away by this.

This isn't for a Psychonauts sequel
They would also need way more than 3 million to do a Psychonauts sequel.
Anyway, very excited about a new Adventure game from Tim Schafer and all the extra money to make it even better. 3 mil is crazy.
Double Fine will be using all the money made from this Kickstarter to put into the initial project even better with features like multiple languages, multiple platforms, increased budgets for music and VO, and so on.
Even though this Kickstarter project has nothing to do with Psychonauts 2, Notch (the Minecraft guy) did say he might be interested in helping fund the possible sequel, but I'm not sure if anyone has heard anything about that since then. The possibility of Psychonauts 2 boils down to publishers being interested in it because that's a game that will be even more expensive than this Kickstarter project (estimated $13 million versus this $400,000/$3 million).
I hope that all makes sense :3
