Nintendo Download: Featured Games 8/2

Nintendo's 8-Bit Summer promotion came to a close last week, so the schedule is now back to one eShop or VC game a week. It's slim pickings this week, with only two new games on the shop.

Here's the full list below:

• 3D Solitaire (3DS eShop, Zen Studios, $2.99)
• The Lost Town - The Jungle (DSiware, CIRCLE Entertainment, 500 points)
• Dinosaur Office: Coffee Run (Nintendo Video)

And the "Month of Mario" promotion this week is Super Mario Land, which is on sale for $2.99 starting today and running through August 8th. If you haven't played it yet, it's a nice, fun (albeit quick) romp through one of Mario's earliest platformers. It also featured a few things that were unusual for the series, such as a level where Mario pilots a submarine and another where he's in an airplane.

3D Solitaire is a nice and affordable 3D version of the classic Solitaire game from Zen Studios, who also developed the Zen Pinball series of games (including Zen Pinball 3D).

There will also be a few videos highlighting New Super Mario Bros. 2 over the next few weeks. The first video is out today and highlights the "rainbow courses."
