DJ Max Technika Heading to North American Vitas

DJ Max originally arrived on PC but Americans were only able to touch the fine music game when it arrived on PSPs. Although only a handful of games released, the series does have a strong fanbase. Now, Neowiz Games is looking to further their reach with a Vita version, titled DJ Max Technika Tune, which will be making it to North America. For those who have played DJ Max, Technika will probably seem strangely unfamiliar in comparison. While the original games took on a sort of Beatmania vibe, Technika is much more readily comparable to something like Elite Beat Agents. It relies fully on touch controls which makes it a perfect fit for Vita's massive touch screen and rear touch pad.
Apparently some popular songs from the series will be in the game, or available as DLC. American gamers may have had the pleasure of playing the arcade original before, but for many this will probably be a wholly new experience. While the game is out this summer for South Korea there's currently no date for NA launch. At least we know the rhythm title will be coming to us at all!
Here's the trailer if you've never seen Technika before:
