Metal Gear Solid 4 Trophies Unveiled

Do you remember back when the PS3 didn't have a Trophy system? For two years it trucked along happily without any Achievement-style goodies before finally integrating them into the system. Unfortunately, massive games like Metal Gear Solid 4 were left without any. Some games received Trophy patches around that time, but the titan MGS4 was left untouched.

Now all the way in 2012 we're finally getting Trophies for the game. Sure, it took a good number of years but at least now you can finally show everyone how good you are (although you'll have to start from scratch to unlock them). The timing for the MGS4 Trophies coincides with the 25th Anniversary of Metal Gear as well. They'll be available as an update in "the beginning of August". So, maybe we should expect to see them this weekend.  

You can view all the trophies on the official PlayStation Blog, but here's what is required to achieve the Gold ones:

• Flashback Mania - View all flashbacks
• Sounds of the Battlefield - Obtain all iPod tracks
• I am THE expert on weapons, equipment and cutting-edge technology. - Obtain all weapons
