Worry Not for Battlefield 3 Servers

Or perhaps you should, all things considered. Some people have found servers for Battlefield 3 suddenly going 'silent'. Why is this? Because the servers are being rented out.”If DICE-managed servers appear unavailable, it is because they have been rented and customized by players. DICE will continue to add servers and will reserve a percentage of servers for players who prefer to connect through DICE-hosted servers,” a representative said.
What does all this mean for the 360? Nothing really. Business as usual. Servers are often rented out and if you keep your ear to the ground you'd know there had been discussions about this very thing anyways.
The question is, is it preferable to rent a server from DICE or make your own server?
