007 Legends Gets a Trailer and a Release Date

His name is Bond. James Bond.

Coming from the success of the 007 reboot GoldenEye 007 for the Wii and GoldenEye 007: Reloaded for the Xbox 360 and PS3, Activision has given six other films their own revisions in 007 Legends. And while this game's reveal isn't news anymore, the reveal of the game's first trailer and the game's release date are:

As you can see from the trailer, the game will be hitting store shelves on October 16, 2012 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Also shown in the trailer is one of the game's re-imagined missions set around the film known as Moonraker. And alongside the Moonraker mission, 007 Legends will also tie in five other James Bond films as well. And just like how this trailer showed off Moonraker, all five of the other missions will be getting their own trailers. So stay tuned...

Are you looking forward to 007 Legends? What are your thoughts on the Daniel Craig reboots of old James Bond films/games? Love 'em? Hate 'em? Let us know below.

This series really needs an M-rated title. The Bond games are too sanitized for the gruesome acts of violence typically depicted. I figure that if you're snapping necks, you might as well not censor the grit. But maybe that's just silly sensibilities given the younger target audience of most Bond games and films. Perhaps the M-rating would turn off too many parents and drop sales. And yet Call of Duty makes billions....it's a tough thing to say but I think Bond could benefit from a little more grit and gore. It would increase the brutality and viscerality of the combat.
