Just last month, rumors had surfaced that Activision's parent company Vivendi was intending to sell off the videogame publisher. Now, it's beginning to look as if talks of buying the company are real, as Reuters has reported that multiple anonymous sources claim Microsoft, Time Warner, and Chinese company Tencent are just a few of the companies eager to explore the possibility of buying the Activision.Vivendi is reportedly to be looking to unload its 61% share in Activision in a decision that was rumored to be made in order to raise up to $10 billion and settle a recent debt. CEO Jean-Bernard Levy also was reported to have stepped down from his position last month in the company.
Reuter's sources claim that nothing is official yet, but that bankers close to Vivendi are indeed "sounding out" to cash-rich potential buyers.
