Another interesting highlight from this week's Nintendo Direct was that we finally got some more information regarding the second DLC pack coming to Mario Kart 8. Fans might remember the first DLC pack came out last November and came with a wealth of new content.
With this second DLC pack, new vehicles, courses, and three new characters will be included, such as Villager (both male and female versions), Isabelle, and Dry Bowser. Not much is known about the tracks being included, but we do know at least one will be an Animal Crossing-themed course that changes seasons during each lap of the race.
In addition, new Amiibo support is coming to the game, which will add 9 new Mii costumes from such Amiibo as Mega Man, Pac-Man, Sonic, and more.
Finally, for the first time ever, a 200cc mode is in the works and will be made available at some point in the near future. 200cc mode promises to be the fastest mode Mario Kart has seen to date, and is primed for experts in the series.
The good news is you won't have to wait long for most of this content; DLC Pack 2 for Mario Kart 8 will launch sooner than scheduled and release on April 23rd for $7.99.
Are you looking forward to DLC Pack 2 or 200cc mode for Mario Kart 8?
