Picross 3D originally came to the DS toward the end of its life cycle but was widely praised as one of the best puzzle games and DS titles in general. Now, some six years later, it appears that a sequel is headed to 3DS in Japan soon.
The sequel, dubbed Picross 3D 2, will feature more than 300 puzzles and the same, addictive box-breaking gameplay that was introduced in the first game. It's scheduled for release in Japan on October 1 for 3,000 yen (almost $25 USD) and will be available via eShop and retail.
Given the first Picross 3D's release, it's likely that we'll see the game come to North America and Europe at some point as well, so stay tuned for more info to come.
