Today was a big day for Amiibo fans as Nintendo announced a plethora of new information regarding the toys-to-life line in a new Nintendo Direct this afternoon.
Starting off, Wave 4 of Amiibo (which was previously announced in January's Direct) is slated to release on May 29. Just as a reminder, the following Amiibo are a part of this wave: Ness, Charizard, Pac-Man, Wario, Jigglypuff, Greninja, Robin, and Lucina.

Also announced were two additional, smaller Super Smash Bros. waves—Dark Pit and Palutena will be arriving in July, and then Zero Suit Samus, Ganondorf, Olimar, Dr. Mario, and Bowser Jr. will make their debut in September.

Aside from those, Nintendo also announced Splatoon Amiibo would be releasing alongside the game on May 29 and would feature Inkling Boy, Inkling Girl, and Inkling Squid.

And if that wasn't enough new Amiibo for you, three different colored Yarn Yoshi Amiibo (made of actual yarn) were announced to coincide with the release of Yoshi's Woolly World later this Fall. This Amiibo will come in green, pink, and light blue colors.

With all of these new Amiibo announced, it's hard to imagine what other ones could be announced for 2015 unless Nintendo is really ramping up production on them. The good news is that, for now, you have a ton to look forward to in the near future.
