Kirby Canvas Curse was one of the most beloved games early on in the Nintendo DS' lifespan, and now it looks to be getting a sequel of sorts with the recently announced Kirby and the Rainbow Curse for Wii U. This time, however, the game is being completely done in a stunning claymation aesthetic.
Once again, Kirby is a pink ball that you manipulate with the stylus (via the Wii U Gamepad) and—much like Canvas Curse—must draw lines for to help him get around. Drawing paths on the screen will help Kirby roll in the appropriate direction as well as deflect projectiles, and protect him from harmful objects and such.
The game was demoed on the Nintendo Treehouse Livestream earlier today and showed a number of returning elements from Canvas Curse in addition to plenty of new elements, including turning Kirby into a rolling tank and more.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is slated for release on Wii U in 2015. You can check out the game's trailer below.
