Remember Fortnite? Epic Games' scavenge-by-day and fight-by-night romp was announced way back in 2011, but now it finally appears as if they're now ramping up anticipation for the game before its expected release later this year.
Today, Epic released a new teaser trailer for the game and confirmed at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference that it would be released for PC and Mac, with a closed beta being scheduled for this Fall. No word on a console version at this point, but perhaps we'll hear something at E3 2015 when it kicks off in Los Angeles next week.
For now, take a look at the teaser trailer below.
It definitely looks as if the game is aiming heavily at creativity and fun and not a serious portrayal of the typical zombie scenario by any means. Epic co-founder Tim Sweeney had previously described Fortnite as "Minecraft meets Left4Dead," so if that sounds like it's up your alley, you can look forward to playing it later this year.
