Kazuo Hirai has decided to step down from his chair position on the Sony Computer Entertainment board. This doesn't necessarily change much. He is no longer just in charge of the games division but the entirety of Sony. It shall be interesting to see what all he does to turn the company around.
Hiroshi Kawano will be keeping his position as the President in Japan. Kunimasa Suzuki, the Deputy President, has also retired.
Things at SCE will hardly change and they don't anticipate any fluctuations in stock. Hiroshi Kawano will be presenting at this year's Tokyo Game Show, for any of those who are curious.
While the appointments seem like a scramble effort, it's not hurting Sony too much to keep on their toes.
