Swedish developer Tarsier Studios recently announced that they are working on a new project for the Playstation 4 titled Hunger. It is described as a third person action adventure with an emphasis on stealth and exploration.
Hunger follows a kidnapped 9-year-old girl named Six. Trapped in an underwater resort called The Maw, she must find a way to escape. Her journey through The Maw examines the "corrupt heart of modern happiness."
According to the developer's blog, development of the game was made possible by funding from the Nordic Game Program. CEO Ola Homdahl said, “The grant enables us to explore an idea we are deeply passionate about. Hunger holds fantastic potential, and our job now is to harness that promise into a great experience.â€
The game will be downloadable but a release date has not yet been announced.
Tarsier Studios developed LittleBigPlanet for the Playstation Vita and Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic for the Playstation 3. They also contributed on LittleBigPlanet and LittleBigPlanet 2 on PS3.
