Suikoden II finally released on PSN earlier this year, and it looks like it was received well enough for Konami to go ahead and fast-track Suikoden III for release, because... well, it's out today!
No doubt this is promising news for fans of the venerable RPG series as this could signify that Suikoden IV and V may also be on the way. But as far as a series revival goes, don't get your hopes up just yet.
Konami did indicate that they will now focus mostly on mobile gaming and other avenues going forward, so the likelihood of us seeing another new console title in the series is... probably not that great. Still, there's no way to know for sure, so we can keep hoping.
In the meantime, you can snag Suikoden III for $9.99 on PSN, but you'll need a PlayStation 3 in order to play it.
