If you're an adventure game enthusiast, you've probably at least heard of the Syberia series. With the first game releasing in 2002 and the second in 2008, it looks like it's finally time for a third game to make an appearance.
French software publisher, Anuman Interactive, and developer, Microids, have officially announced today that Syberia III is indeed in production. Benoit Sokal, author and artistic director of the first two Syberia games, will also be involved in this upcoming adventure game's production.
Anuman Interactive's General Manager, Stéphane Longeard, had this to say about Syberia III's announcement:
"After two long years of waiting for the fans, with Benoit writing the script and Elliot joining our team, 'Syberia' has truly entered its production phase. With its incredible feel and the sheer quality of the game, Syberia has carved out a special place for itself in gamers“ hearts. They are more than ever expecting the next instalment [sic]. Today, fans of the series and adventure games enthusiasts have at last been rewarded for the patience."
Unfortunately, it will quite a long wait until you can finally play Syberia III. The game is scheduled as a multiplatform release in 2014/2015.
