After a one month hiatus, Meet the Podunker's is back and ready to keep interviewing even more Podunkers in the next couple months! We still have plenty of members yet to feature so stay tuned!

It's been a while but we're back with a VERY lengthy entry by none other than TKtheknight!

What's the first game you've ever played?

Oh man that brings back toddler memories. I lived out of the country at the time living in apartment I think in a military base around 2-3 years old. Anyways I remember my parents bought the NES and the games with them were Super Mario and Duck Hunt (Maybe it was a Christmas gift or just bought it in general). I even got the gun controller too. They were a lot of fun especially taking turns with the family and even with my neighbors. Duck Hunt was pretty easy and fun. Although the dog seemed kind of mean.

I remember when I suck at the game, I would get butthurt by the dog laughing/mocking me. Me being a clumsy little kid, I would ask my parents why the dog would be mean to me. I can't remember what they said, but it was probably a funny answer telling me not to believe in fictional characters or something. Oh I think the game also had a mode where you shoot flying discs too. It was so cool jumping up and down as I would hit the targets and stuff (felt like I can be a pro hunter or those pro shooters). Also in the Duck Hunt game there was a moment where I felt sad the ducks died from my shooting. Even though it was just a game, I wanted to apologize to them and their families.

Mario was a lot of fun and it was my favorite game back then. It was so fun playing and taking turns to beat the levels. NES Mario was the game to play and was very popular so it was my favorite series at the time. My parents and I would take turns completing levels and stuff. It was such a fantastic time to be playing with friends as well. I really miss those days of being a little kid playing retro games. The place I lived in was a nice apartment, but sadly a volcano erupted and probably destroyed it after we moved or we had to evacuate. I can't remember well, but good times in the neighborhood.

Describe your current gaming setup.

My room back home is so cramped with so much stuff with posters, anime, DVD's, comics, etc. that It's too hot to be in the room due to electronics. Anyways when you walk into my room, you will see a small black TV stand with a Sony 42 inch HDTV and sometimes If the living room isn't being used, I like to play it on the 55 inch HDTV (usually when parents are at work). Under it is my directv receiver, xbox 360, and then PS3 hooked up to the TV. The Wii used to be in the living room, but it was so lonely not being used anymore I decided to move it to my room. Also recently hooked up my Gamecube. Also have a PSP and GBA on my shelf as well. I have PSone and PS2, but it's in my bro's room. Next to the TV, I have shelf of PS3 games and on another shelf I have 360 games. As for PC gaming, I don't have a good PC gaming desktop, but my laptop is able to manage some of the older games before 2013. I play the PS3 a lot more though so that seems to be my main gaming console. My room is very messy and what you'd expect to see in a cramped nerdy room.

I have another room which is the dorm room I'm living in on campus University this year. It's pretty plain with just a very large desk with my 24 inch TV and PS3 hooked up and of course with my laptop with steam games. With being busy at school I take less things from home with me to keep it simple. PS3 is my main system to play with. I haven't touched the 360 since June/July lol. Sadly haven't played much lately due to busy with homework and stuff, but I'm open to play with anyone who invites me which would probably be my only time playing at the moment.

Name the one game that changed your life, that is, what's the one game that made you into the gamer you are today?

It would be easily obvious Super Mario, but I think I'll say something different. I would have to say Final Fantasy VII because it is what made me love the JRPG genre and Final Fantasy series. When I was a kid I stumbled upon a Eidos PC version of Final Fantasy VII at Costco for around less than 10 bucks. At the time I knew what Final Fantasy was, but really never played it. I asked my dad to buy it for me and he told me what what a role playing game was. It sounded quite difficult and seems fun. He even asked are you sure you're going to like this game? Play this type of game? Yes, I want to try it! It was also the last PC copy so I was super excited.

So after the trip to Costco, I went home popped in the installation disc to one of those really old fat desktop computers in the 90s. I got really excited and was so joyful to play it. After installing it the game begins. I was literally screaming like a fangirl as this was the first JRPG and/or Final Fantasy game I've ever played. Those opening scenes and stuff were cool! So what is your name hero? Um Tristan! Yes Tristan! Aw yeah I'm gonna be a hero! I can't wait to save the world! The story really got to me as I got hooked on it and would spend a lot of time playing it. I've never had so much fun playing an JRPG game and at the time I felt like I was reading an interactive storybook. My mom was getting mad at me for not spending time outside too. I started to care about the characters and what's going on so I was failing school at the time and cared less about it. Spent too much time talking about the game to everyone at school and actually got so mad at Sephiroth for killing Aeris. I felt like I lost a really good friend.

I spent a day at school feeling gloomy and kept thinking if there was a way to save her (I got mad at Cloud for just standing there not pushing her out of the way or just didn't care. I'm like yo man wtf!). The journey in the game was so good that I spent a lot of hours and it made me happy to not give up and eventually beat it. It took forever to level up and find materias. It was fun doing sidequests, Gold Saucer, fighting Ruby/Ultima/Emerald Weapon (Tough challenges). At one point I could not get past a part because it kept freezing (somehow disc was scratched up. Got really bummed for days not playing the game) so I had to cheat by downloading a save to get past that part. I really enjoyed the game after beating and felt proud of myself. When I discovered PC mods for the game, I got so excited because I wanted to bring back Aeris. Eventually beat the game again with her in my party and I was very satisfied with it to have her revenge against Sephiroth. I think at the same time that year FFVIII was released so I asked to get it for my Birthday and also happened to get my first PSOne aside from N64. Also the following year FFIX was the only game I wanted for Christmas and got that too (actually we were poor at the time so wanted only one or a few gifts. IX was the highest on my wishlist). Final Fantasy series got me to love JRPG games and even led me to play many different ones and love the genre even more. I'm not super hardcore like the others here, but I am a good fan. I just need to play a lot more series besides Tales and Final Fantasy. Also Ni no Kuni is beginning to be on my favorite list as well. That was the most recent and last JRPG I played and man that game is really amazing that it made it to my top list of favorite games.

I feel that this is one of many things that made me a gamer today and there's just too many stories I can come up with. Playing games and being part of the experience is what made me be a gamer today. It isn't just gameplay and stuff, but how the story gets you driven. I just love playing an interactive adventure in most games. I'm not afraid to admit there are games that made me cry. I don't care what you guys say, but if a game makes me sad, then that game really is good.

What is your all-time favourite game EVER?

Like other Podunkers, this is hard to answer because there is just so many fantastic games that are memorable and favorited. Althought I can say my favorite game this year so far is Ni no Kuni. I remember spending a week and a few days playing it so much and forgot about the real world (Time sure went by fast and felt like throwing up after I finish. Gaming exhaustion man). It's a wonderful game to play and I really recommend it. Studio Ghibli and Level 5 teaming up makes it a lot better. I hope to see more collaborations with Studio Ghibli and other developers. Imagine Square Enix and Studio Ghibli working on a Final Fantasy game with the animation done by Ghibli. Maybe Kingdom Hearts? Ah we can all dream.

Anyways moving on for favorite game I would have to say any from the Final Fantasy series, but most likely Final Fantasy VII. Also loved Kingdom Hearts series and Metal Gear Solid series. They are just so good that I buy their games without hesitating and side note very happy to have steelbook case of FFXII too! To add to the list, I even liked FFXIII and FFXIII-2 and actually bought the limited collector's edition of both guides and used it. Despite not getting love and a lot of hate for those games, I can't abandon my favorite series wether the game is good or bad. Squaresoft days were great and Enix has had up and downs, but still support them. On another note the only games I've beaten on PSP are Final Fantasy Crisis Core and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep so I am a really huge fan of Square and would play their games a lot. Pretty much my favorite series of games is the Final Fantasy universe. As for MGS, I just love to play stealth games and Kojima is a genius for creating the series. I had so much fun with it that I spent lots of time just fooling around with guards at times and listening to codec stories. Also really love the wacky weird stuff the game puts you through and gets you be like WTF?! So many great moments and a wonderful series to play. The story of it overall is what drives me in. Snake's legacy is just so good. I look forward to MGSV, FFXV, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Lightning Returns!

How about your favorite character?

That's tough. Most of them are Final Fantasy characters including Cloud and Lightning. They're definitely one of my favorites. Vivi from FFIX is also awesome and one of my favorites. His story is pretty intersting as well. I grew up being a Cloud Strife fan in the beginning because of FFVII being my first FF game. I just have too many mostly from Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts and of course Snake from MGS. All these characters are fascinating and each of their personality is unique. It's not easy picking a favorite character. They all have an impact in their respectable game's story and how you can view them. Also I can add myself because as a character when you are the hero and you take control just like when I first played FFVII I put myself in Cloud's viewpoint or even custom character in games you created. I really can't decide in the end, but my favorite character has to be the one that you looked up to and inspires you besides just being in a game.

Another to add to favorites is I really like Oliver and Drippy this year. Fantastic duo and both have great hearts. Oliver's character is really good and fun. I felt like being him sharing the emotion or characteristic potion/bottles to everyone (if you've played the game you know what I mean). His developmet from scared to courage and the journey he went through is amazing. On the other hand Drippy is hilarious and smart. I love that guy and it would be so cool to have a plushie of him. Both characters are likeable and like I said play Ni no Kuni because you won't regret it. Friendship keeps a team strong!

What's your story? How'd you end up on Game Podunk?

I first heard of Game Podunk from my best friend who goes by solid-alchemist who some of you might know since he was in the old GP (He would talk about the Darkstar days). I was never really in the gaming forums and never really entered a lot of contests so I was still new to the forum world. Solid would tell me things about GP, CAG, and even GDD. He would tell me about the winnings he's earned and the deals he spotted. I eventually joined GDD as the first forum and then I grew to be active in that and fell in love with the community. Of course that's where I met most of you guys including Ludo, Cait, Cobra, Kezins, bink, etc. Many months later, I keep hearing about GP stuff from Solid and it sounded pretty cool. I actually took a peek at it once and then couldn't bring to leave GDD because I like to stick with one forum. Anyways one day I saw Tyler promoting a contest from GP on GDD and decided hey I should discover more forums and get out more which I did, but was a lurker at the time.

So I followed and signed up. I wasn't really active in the old GP, but I have seen Marcus, Jared, Marshall, and others including Nash and barrel with their usernames and met some of the other staff members. I remember first joining, I head straight to chat to check things out and ask for help. Dunno why, but Loose Cannon as a nickname was given to me pretty quick (Still have no idea how that name was decided at the time). The only discussion I remember from the old chat was about Marcus's drawings lol. It was very strange and funny (never got to see them though, but hilarious conversations). Oh by the way the contest that was promoted was I think the Prize Vault or Caption contest. I actually ended up winning the caption contest for the Arkham City game for 360 wich I end up giving to a friend as a Birthday gift because I already bought Arkham City for PS3 and wasn't sure if I'd win. Meanwhile after that I became active a little bit, but occassionally just stop by to say hello in GP Chat and stayed with GDD because I didn't see myself leaving that place. It was hard leaving one place to another like if you live in a home for so many years, it's hard to move into someplace new with new environment and surroundings.

Well a year later I heard GP changed and decided to come back and once again recruited by Tyler again (I sure miss that guy, he needs to visit here again). That same year I finally signed up to CAG after lurking forever. Most of the members I saw here were from GDD and was happy to be part of the community. I became a lot active and visit the GP Chat quite a bit. I used to stay up til like 2-3am talking to Marshall and Jared and listening to GP stories from the past (Lol Marshall you and your Jason is a warrior leader story). Good times before you went onto JAAP. Everything about GP is what a gaming forum should be. It's a great place to hang out, very nice, the design, sets, etc and actually feels like a big family to me. I just love everything about the place so I have been active a lot more ever since I return for my second visit and kept this place as the main forum to hang out. I am very thankful to meet all of you and I mean it. You guys are something and a special group of people that I've ever met. Glad to be part of your lives and hope I can make a difference for you all and Game Podunk. :-)

Care to explain your username?

Well TK is my initials and nickname obviously. The story how I got it is actually through Digimon (When I watched it eating breakfast with the family and the series premiere on FOX Kids, my dad randomly said hey he has the same initials as you! TK! It wasn't really official yet though since everyone called me by my first name, or some random nicknames like Triscuit (Teacher), Little Boy Blue (Dad), etc. Anyways funny thing one random day my friend Austin back in middle school was one of the funniest dudes around and decided hey you need a nickname. My nickname was announced publicly from a him to students during recess in middle school and then everyone started calling me that.

My username is my gamertag for everything. So this is how I became a knight. When I first signed up for xbox live, I didn't know what name to use so I though of just using TK. It wouldn't work because it was too short and wanted 6 or more characters so I figured out trying many things that goes with TK like TKtheking, TKthekiller, TKthekid, TKthekoolaid, TKthekrunch, TKthekicker, even outside of TK like TKthelad, and Cloud (I really wanted that name so bad lol). Anything that made sense with my name. I though long and hard to figure out what sounds best and decided TKtheknight because for some reason it fits better than the others. I almost wanted to go with TKtheking, but just didn't fit at all and I honestly I'm not fit to be a king. I felt that being a knight is pretty fun and they seem so awesome especially in games, animes, fairy tales, etc. Being a knight sure is something. I tend to be loyal and listened to everyone just like what a knight does. I'll be the best knight there ever was and do my best to protect the kingdom of Podunk. Well that sounds lame, but really I'm glad I chosen TKtheknight and it's awesome.

Lol I just realized after typing that my actual first name is based off a knight in the King Arthur legends. So cool! :D

What are your opinions on next gen? Are you excited for it? Indifferent? What's one feature you want to see or are looking forward to trying on the new systems?

I'm excited for it, but honestly I am in no rush to move into the new generation. I feel that the 360, Wii, PS3, etc has a lot of gas left in their tank and still provide good games through time so I'll be waiting a few more years before I jump into one by winning one or a getting it as a gift. If I had to buy one it would be the PS4 since the only console I ever bought this gen is the PS3.

There is a bunch of great features that are implemented to these consoles to make it a lot fun. One feature that I look forward to trying is the streaming feature which they partner up with Twitch. I've always wanted to stream some of my games on the PS3/360/Wii,etc ,but buying those gaming capture devices are pricey. I have streamed some steam games before although sometimes the quality or the program I use doesn't work well. This is a great way to share your playing experience and have fun with others to watch you. This also makes it fun to have a Let's Play event show too!

Also really love how the companies are providing help to the indie developers. It's not easy making it to the big leagues and it's a nice way to help out the small ones making their dreams go bigger.

This new generation of gaming is going by pretty fast and can be pretty scary at times. It seems were getting close to virtual reality, but that would take time. Digital age is what could possibly come into. There are so many games going digitally that the physical copies might slowly disappear. I mean I miss the manual booklet in games, the nice case box with none of that slim recycle thing, etc. Eventually were going to rely on digital stuff. I just hope the physical version will stick around a lot longer or even forever.

I could go on about how I feel, but I don't want to make this interview long and boring. I'm having fun doing this so hope you guys don't mind all this typing I'm sharing.

Is there one genre of game you'd like to get into, or get back into in this upcoming gen?

Visual novels or RTS. I like to watch a lot of anime and read manga so I figured hey why not give this genre a try. I never played or looked much into visual novel type games, but it seems interesting after reading reviews and tweets from Leah, Marcus, Ludo, and others. I'd like to jump to see what this is all about. Seems there are a lot of crazy stories in them. I did test out Katawa Shoujo once, but that was it. Other than that, I also would like to get into the strategy type games. My bro plays a lot of them on his PC so I'd be watching or asking stuff about the games and genre he plays. It looks pretty cool and fun with a lot of thinking. I've been wanting to get into the some series like Warhammer, Command and Conquer, Civilization, Sims, etc. I think the last time I played an RTS was Warcraft which actually got a demo cd from a cereal box and tried it out. It was pretty fun and I liked it. Definitely should give the genre more chance for me to play.

Aside from those genres I'd like to get back into is more JRPGs. I've only played FFXIII, FFXIII-2, Tales of Vesperia, and Ni no Kuni in the past few years. With so many coming out on handhelds and consoles, I'd love to play more and get into the discussion with you guys. It sucks to just say oh hey I played it and it was awesome. The more I read about the discussions, the more I get excited I want to try them out. I'm pretty average gamer at this genre at the moment lol. Hoping to get back on the wagon eventually. I'd like to follow in barrel's footsteps since he's a huge fan and great at discussing the genre.

You're probably the most jovial person on GP, have you ever gotten angry at anyone online? Why or why not?

Indeed I am most jovial. Pretty much I will have a happy cheerful attitude to everyone. Am I too nice guys? xD As for being angry, not really. I don't see myself really getting angry at anyone online other than my close friends (I get picked on a lot, but it's for fun). Well maybe I'll be angry at the bad type of gamers like hackers, abusers, etc, but I don't want to argue with them. Best to ignore. I don't get angry too serious unless some things gets too far. I do get angry playing games though. RAGE QUIT! AAARRRGGGHHH!!! I can't see myself angry at anyone on GP as well. I mean you guys will pick on me at times, but I know it's not serious and it's for fun and funny times (Although I grew up getting bullied by some people so my feelings can be sensitive at times). Don't make me cry or feel sad! xD

Everyone is just nice and the community is peaceful. Only times I get really angry is if someone is talking bad about someone I know or a good friend so I can defend him/her and of course outside of online stuff. I don't like to start arguments with anyone and I know I'm not good at it. My social skills in that area is pretty weak and being angry just makes things worse. I do would like to fix what makes you angry at me though. Dunno who would be angry at me, but if you are um I apologize and I'd like to fix the problem to make things better.

Anyways you don't want to make me angry. It's pretty scary if you see my angry form. I can be really serious and evil if I wanted to. One time I almost punched someone and threw him in the locker because he was talking bad about someone. Good thing I didn't and the teacher was around the corner. He walked by and I smiled saying heyo teach! Yep that's it.

Which 3 people, dead or alive, would you want to play a game with? Which game?

Seems most of the past interviews would include famous developers or something lol. Guess I'll do different. Easily my first pick is my best friend John with this one. Who wouldn't have their best friend playing. As for the other two it could be anyone awesome! So for the 2nd person it would be a celebrity so I would pick Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. I grew up idolizing him as kid and love his charismatic and cheerful attitude. He's a great entertainer all around and really inspired me have fun and be enthusiastic. As a kid I wanted to grow up to be just like him (actually wanted to be a WWE Superstar or NFL Football player growing up lol) and I just love who he is in many ways (John Cena/CM Punk/Daniel Bryan's beard would be alternate choices if I didn't pick The Rock. Maybe). As for the 3rd person It would be anyone welcome to join me. I've had so much fun playing with most of you guys on gaming nights and co-op sessions. I usually play by myself or with my bro at times besides close friends. Being with people you care about is a lot more fun because you know they will provide great help and fun. I appreciate hanging out with most of you guys. Again thanks a lot and everyone is welcomed to play with me. :-)

Anyways if we were all to play a game together it has to be obviously something co-op fun. It's kind of tough to pick because there's so many fantastic co-op games. I think we each pick a game we play. The Rock - WWE 2k14 (obvious cuz he's on the cover and he's wrestler too), John-Borderlands/Left 4 Dead/Anything to keep us together as a team, and I would love to play some Halo because back in the days after high school, Friday nights we would eat pizza and play Halo when hanging out with buddies. For you guys just pick whatever you want and I'm in as long as I have the game too (this is why gaming nights are a lot of fun). Better to play with someone you know than complete strangers. Woo! :D

It's the zombie apocalypse, which person, weapon and music would you have during your final stand?

Anyone can be my partner to so it's pretty much open to anyone who like to join me. I'm gonna go with Kiky to be my partner for this one. We'd be a hilarious team together. Our weapons would be created in many unique different ways like in Dead Rising 2/OTR. If I had to create one it would be a chainsaw combined with a gun and it would be called the Gunsaw (kind of like a gunblade, but with a chainsaw). As for Kiky's weapon, I have no idea, but I'll make one. It would be a katana infused with lightning so it would electrocute anything it touches and insta kill (Lol Kiky if you don't like it, share your idea. I just thought about Lightning to be part of a weapon). Of course gotta have handguns as a side weapon too.

As for the music, well my favorite band is Linkin Park. It was tough picking the song because I ended up listening to every single to figure out what fits. I think I'll go with Burn it Down. I imagine awesomeness while were killing zombies and giving everything we got. If I decide not to go with mainstream music I will pick DOA by Aimee Blackschleger (It's a song from Attack on Titan). She does a lot of music works for other animes and games too! As the song(s) plays on our final stand we go out guns blazing kicking butt and piercing the heavens with all of our might Dead Rising style. Were all over the place with hilarious stuff and were wearing fabulous crazy outfits. We save the world and found the cure. Credits roll. Secret ending. . . .camera zooms out and it's just Me and Kiky playing Dead Rising: Off the Record using our weird imaginations and be like wtf was that? The End xD

Anything else you'd like to add?

Bonus rap and a special thanks to most of the active members on GP

** Note from Ludono: Due to the length of this section I put it in a spoiler so as to reduce the load and length of this post.**

Rap

Hey since nobody challenge Marshall for a rap beat.

I'm stepping in so take a seat.

They call me Loose Cannon, but I'm TKtheknight.

Looks I'm here to step up so I'm ready to fight.

I don't have the skills to attempt a musical rap.

Please cheer on and give me a clap.

Ludo has done a great job with these interviews.

So I'd read them all while drinking a ton of Mountain Dews.

Game Podunk has everything you need to see.

Check out the reviews done none other than Harrison Lee.

Everyone deserves a big shoutout in this MTP blog.

I can only do one so that's my man Khorne dog!

This rap isn't as funny as Marshall's beard.

Once I did a dance for Kiky that was totally weird.

Anyways it's time for me to eat a delicious chicken bowl.

Gonna head out to Panda Express so I'll do a barrel roll.

Man time is running out and I've got nothing to say.

Well anyways feel free to join me on the games we can play.

By the way this snack I'm eating taste really good.

Jordan tried to steal some and I shouted Hay it's all Good!

I just typed whatever comes out of my head. The End.

Special Thanks

So I decided to do something different and special. This might be the only time I get to express my feelings about all of you. Nothing bad or anything. I just wanted to let each of you know how wonderful you are. I apologize for this long MTP. It was really fun to be part of it. If you want to be added to the list let me know. I'll be happy to comment about you. :-)

Jason

What can I say. You are a tremendous hard working leader for Game Podunk. Very proud of you to run the site with the remaining old GP members. Glad to have you keep this place running after the Darkstar days and such. I want to give you a lot of thanks for being part of the community and keeping this place together as one. You're one hell of a leader, Jason. Lets keep moving forward together and pierce the internets together! :-)

DarkCobra

I've know you way before GP from GDD and man you're such a beast in posting a lot and have a great attitude towards us. Very enthusiastic and love to talk and discuss anything on GP. Doesn't matter if you have the highest post count, what matters is you make a difference with these posts and sharing great opinions. Cheers to you man and glad to know you for many years. You're the one and true King Cobra.

Marcus

Marcus, Marcus, Marcus, man how much work do you put into?! So many typed up reviews, articles, news, etc. How are you able to keep all this up while playing games, taking classes, and spend time with Leah?! I admire your hard work and determination for all this time you've spent. You never have any problems go your way and you're just an all around great guy and friend to the community. I love who you are and you are definitely the master of the claw of hard work. You'll aim even higher eventually and trust me you will and believe it. Also your voice is awesome. :D

Kezins

You are an amazing guy and father to your kids. Not many older members can stick around on GP and you're one of them. I loved reading your stories in the previous MTP and got to know you better. Also very awesome to have your kids play Nintendo and some old school retro games to know what gaming era you went through. Kids these days are more into shooters and forgot the classics. Glad to see you raising your kids wonderfully and become a great father figure. Proud of ya Papa Kezins! xD

Ludo

Geez so many blogs from you Luds! Slow down a bit will ya. They're all fantastic and I think by now you should be working in a pro blog place or something. Heck maybe you should be on the GP staff by now. All of them are just so awesome and really super duper cool (I am pretty jealous of the places you go to and stuff you get xD). Really though, you're one of the most creative guys I've seen around here. You're like the god of GP having a lot of anime stuff, games, collections, even know different/understanding languages. I can see you somewhere in the professional business. Again known you in the GDD days and one of the first friends I got to know. Anyways thanks for the blog and I really had fun being in MTP. So much I can type. Maybe someday we can do a Ask Me Anything Blog or something. Once again thanks for this opportunity Ludono! Woo!

Gaiages

Gaia buddy! My you have done a lot of great community themed work from free albums, month memory lanes of games, articles, reviews, etc. You've done a fantastic job keeping up with the community events and you're a great manager. Also wanted to tell you that I am also proud that you're going to be a writer for that RPG site. You're going to do great and I know you put in a lot of work everywhere even on your blogsite. Happy to have you around with the community and thanks for helping me out in some events. Couldn't have done it without the awesome community manager. I believe in you to whatever you will do in life. Thanks a bunch Gaia! Also make sure you take good care of Bacon as well. :-)

Liz

I am sorry that I didn't know you hated potatoes. xD. Liz remember your first article that I showed you? That was really great and didn't realize that was so long ago that you were part of the old GP. It was so cool seeing you be the first ever to have a featured blog. I admire your hard working life as a gamer mom from taking care of kids, playing games, providing for family, and writing for Vivid Gamer. Must be tough doing all those at once, but you really handled them quite well. It shows how hard working you can be as a gamer mom and that is really special. You're a great person to us all on GP and glad to know you and be part of this community. It was honor having you as an instructor and a friend. Also I look forward to the opportunity when given the chance to do something for Vivid Gamer. Thank you so much Liz! :D

Number 905

I know you won't read this since you haven't been on GP in a long time, but someday you will. Just wanted to tell you that you were a wonderful moderator and poster in GP. You really provided a lot of help and tips to us when were lost and in trouble. I do miss ya throwing those tables in GP Chat though. It was fun being unprepared and prepared at the same time. Anyways just wanted to thank you for being part of the GP Community and wish you luck with JAAP and future endeavors. Good luck Pyromancer, you've earned it! Keep that fire burning and friendship going!

Harrison Lee

Obvious-Lee I love making Lee puns. Lee, you're one of the coolest guys on GP especially where you at right now including the stuff you're working on and be part of something. You have a great sense of humor and smarts. Your reviews are pretty fun to read especially the recent funny ones. Also you have great motivation to never give up on anything too. By the way good luck to your Ravens this season and lets see how the team will do without some of the superstars that were lost. May the best team win this year! Go 49ers! xD

Khorne

My favorite New Zealander ever! Khorne I want to apologize for making corn puns at you and they never really intended to hurt your feelings. I was just poking fun. Were good right? Anyways It's great to hang out with you in the Podunkast especially the backstage preshow moments when we randomly jam and sing. Pretty hilarious. We should definitely do it again. Heck we should do an episode of VH1's Behind the Podcast. Also glad to learn more about New Zealand and their history and cultural stuff. It's great to learn something new everyday. Khorne, you're an awesome co-host and even when there are problems, were still a team together and I thank you for being there 100% of the time.

Ciel

It was a surprise when you came back to GP and learned that you were part of the older GP. That really got me when I first met you and glad you did came back. You're a pretty hilarious and smart guy to talk to and fun to hang out with on GP Chat and gaming nights. Also it's great to see that you're going to be an awesome teacher someday. You'll definitely be awesome and pierce the schoolgrounds with your teachings and philosophical ways. I like it. Good luck and remember that with a man's soul and a strong back, go beyond the impossible and kick reason to the curb! Woo!

Biz Monkey

You are one hilarious monkey and awesomely unique. The games you shared with us that you created are fantastic and you have a skill that I admire. Also love your artwork and designs of your creative ideas. I hope you can make it to the next level of game development as I see potentional and greatness. You're a very honest and brave person with great knowledge and minds. I will believe in you to make great games and become successful in that area. Good luck!

Lep

Why hello there you druken Leprechaun! Ha! It's nice to see you come back to GP earlier this year. I love your food creations and thread full of mouth watering pictures to eat. Also wanted to tell you that despite having problems with the Game Podunk RPG, I want you to keep working on it. I know the problem of lost files and corrupted data hurts, but that doesn't mean you should give up. Not everything is going to be perfect. Also you don't have to work on this alone. You got a great set of people on GP that can lend their skills. Lets make it a collaboration work for everyone. Do it together and we'll pierce the heavens. Believe me, it's a lot better to work on a team than doing things alone. There's no "I" in team.

Roy

You are one of the most awesome guys around GP and the most enthusiastic about fighting games. You're really good at them and I have learned many things while training with you. I may not be the best, but I play to have fun. I'm used to getting my butt beat, but I'll get stronger every time. Glad to see you stick around after a year of hiding.

Raven

Swoosh! Look out Raven is flying down! Hey man thanks for joining GP along with Biz and I'm glad you were able to be part of the community. You're such a hard working guy on games and providing your voices, illustrations, and skills. Doesn't matter if it's good or bad, you put into work and it is something that you should be proud of. It was really fun having you watch me test out your Black and White parody game and had heck of time playing it in one sitting. Praise and cheer man! Also I am honored to have the opportunity to be working and helping you out with the game(s) upcoming in the next month or two ahead lending my voice talent. Looking forward to make use of it and show what I can do. It will definitely be a lot of fun. If you ever need a helping hand let me know, I'm there for ya buddy.

Venom

Venom! How's it going? Lol always say those greetings whenever I see you. You're one of my best buds on GP and always there to co-op or when I feel down. You treat me like an older brother I never had. Thanks for being a great older bro. Glad to know you and be part of this community and helping me out for Gaming Nights too. Just wanted to tell you thanks a lot and we sure have a lot of hilarious and good times playing games especially glitches, dumb moments, and wtf just happened moments. Also remember you gotta take it easy on buying games and work on the backlog! Think of my summer work that could inspire you. In the end I love your purchases. xD

Rex705

Rexo yo! Hey man you're a cool guy and glad to know you too. If you ever need help with something you can ask me too. Also wanted to tell you to not expect things off the bat. I know you want things to be awesome instantly, but you gotta take it easy. Youtube is a huge place for videos and don't expect millions of views and likes. It's hard to generate those things. Maybe it's best to keep it slow and eventually you'll make it to the top. Remember my words I always say. Believe in me that believes in you. Expect the unexpected. Patience is virtue. Good luck with your projects! Woo!

Dr Pixel

Pixel, my little bro you are one cool young pixelated doctor. It's pretty crazy when I first met you and learn you were the youngest member here. You're actually a very matured person for that age and smart. Thanks for your reviews and giveaways you've done with most of the PC games. You sure play a lot of unique ones and glad to read about them. Also wanted to tell you good luck in high school and believe in me that believes in you to have good grades and graduate in the future. Also thanks for some anime recommendations too!

Leah

Leah! Stop being pessimistic! You have Marcus there for you! xD You're a funny person on Twitter and post a lot of cool stuff. It's pretty fun learning about the visual novels you talk about and review them. It's one of those genres that I love to look into as they can be pretty tame or not. The stories in them sounds good especially the Alpaca ones. Good job on the site by the way. Fantastic layout! Also you are the greatest Naoto fan evar (actually the only one I know). Also show me some of your artworks too! Hm maybe I should request something. :)

Barrel

Barrel-kun! You're one of the best, no wait, you are the best barrel I've known out of all barrels. Your JRPG talks are very fun to listen to and you say you're not nice, but I think you're one of the nicest guys around. Also you're a great moderator and cast member for the Podunkast. Hey it's ok to be awkward and have opinions on the podunkast. Wish you never left because you're part of that crew that started it all. We do miss your presence and I understand the stuff for leaving. I just wanted to let you know you're one of the funnest guys to talk to and I'll be happy to have you back in the team. We could use your barrel of fun. I wish the best of luck with whatever you're doing and hope you become successful in life.

Cait

Cait, you need to stop acting gloomy thinking everything'll be sugar and rainbows. You said you'd be jumping off the bridge many times, but glad you never did because it would be a Cait-astrophe to hear the sad news. Horrible pun. Anyways I've known you back in GDD too and you're an awesome friend as well as big ME fan of Miranda and Lindsey Shaw. I'm surprised you haven't seen Ned's Declassified since that was where I knew Lindsey from. You gotta check it out! Also if you ever feel bad, don't forget that all of us on GP got your back and remember you got your buddy Kiky for the girl talk so don't forget about her.

Blazeknyt

Blaze! I'm so happy that I wasn't the only knight around here. Seriously though that name sounds more badass than mine. I imagine a knight with blazing speed and skill. I'd probably lose to you in a battle. We definitely need to play together more besides the Uncharted gaming nights. Pretty sad I remembered you messaged me and Kiky for a list of co-op games and we never played together during the summer. I feel bad for that and hopefully we can make it up in the future.

John Kidman

Dyeknom! Monkey D! That was a pretty interesting history lesson about your userame. So many Johns I know lol. Anyways it was fun talking to you on the recent episode of the Podunkast and playing with you on Super Smash Brawl gaming night. Gah! I cannot beat you at all and you're pretty good at the game. I was surpsied Venom was able to beat you in the championship after slaughtering us all. I'd be down to play again and have a rematch again. Most likely lose , but I'll keep standing up and be strong. Someday I'll be able to defeat the great Kidman. xD

Kiwi

Kiwi-kun! Man you're such a hilarious person and totally a good leader. The third person talkig is pretty funny and fun to listen to. The way you describe things is like narrating your own character's life or something. Also had a great time playing Killing Floor for gaming nights. Your knowledge and leadership in the game was really good and made us a better team. I know I started off playing goofy and derp, but you helped me pick things up quick and had a great time playing. Man I need a good PC and games you have to get so I can join you in playing more gaming nights.

Archangelreb

Arch thanks for sharing the giveaways and deals for us and they are great. Also knowing you're a father too, you're one of the good ones along with Kezins and back from GDD. You can't be blaming me for your PS3 dying and Falcons losing. It wasn't my fault! Things just happen. Also love your collection of gaming you showed in the collection thread. Man that really surprised me when you showed it. You're one cool retro dad man. Your kids will definitely enjoy the retro moments with you. :D

MrNinjaSquirrel

Ninja! You came late to the party this year, but you made awesome impact for the community. Really glad you came over to join us. I loved reading your blogs you've written an the blog site that you shared with us. As one of the youngest members on GP you provided great help and stuff in the the threads. You're a really nice guy and I wanted to thank you for the gifts during the summer steam sale. I wish I can return the favor someday. Also didn't realize how big you were in CAG. Very deserving and great leader there. Once again welcome aboard GP and glad to have ya here.

TylerxDurden

Gone, but not forgotten. Wherever you are, someday you'll see this. Just wanted to thank you for recruiting me here to GP. You were a good friend on GDD back then and a great mod poster here as well. I am glad to be part of this community thanks to you. I know you left due to busy and life circumstances, but it's understandable. Just know that we never forget how great you were in the old GP and early days of the new one. Thanks for bringing me here and someday you'll return. Good luck to whatever it is you're doing and hope you become successful.

Jared

Jared you are one of the first people I got to play co-op with on GP. Remember the hilarious glitches and moments in Lara Croft: Guardian of Light? Man that T-Rex was going crazy. Also I love your lists and articles and they are a great read. I'm really glad I picked up Journey after your articles explaining the many different things to do in the game. I have to agree in all the points you made. It made me like the indie genre even more. Big things comes in small packages. You're a great contributor and member of the site. Man hearing you talking about typing stuff through PS3 is sure a pain. I can't imagine myself doing that a lot. I tried it and it's really difficult. Props to you and your skill to doing that. Pssst. You're novel/writing/book will be so good too.

Marshall

Marshall! Where have you been lately? I only see you on Twitter these days. Also please make an appearance on the Podunkast and say something for once. xD Anyways you're one of the most coolest guys that has a lot of funny tweets and great knowledge of life and society. You're such an RDAwesome guy to chill with and of course can't get enough of that epic beard you have. It's fun listening to your opinions and stories from GP chat years ago when we just stay up late nights. Oh the good times. Also wanted to tell you to believe in me that believes in you that you will do great this senior year and hope you'll graduate. It's not gonna be easy, but know that the entire community supports you including me. I know there's another Marshall Henderson out there, but you're the only Marshall I'll know.

Jordan

What can I say about you man. You're good. Haygood. I've learned a lot from you being on the Podunkast and how you become a great host. It was a very good experience to learn and try to become a good leader too. Besides that you're not just a leader or co-host, buy you're a friend/bro to me as well. I really have a great time hanging out with you and others when we do the podcast. It's something that I like to be part of because I really don't do anything here where I'm at. Also you are a very hardworking creative guy. You got a job, making a Youtube series, editing all the episodes, etc. Heck I admire your artwork and animation too! They are really good. Proud to be part of a group of artists and creative group and wanted to say Thanks! Congrats on the promotion as well. Good luck Jordan!

MadsdddDa

My god you're the most mysterious bot member on GP. I don't know much about you, but you stalk everyone on GP. I believe that you have a master running the spambots. Somewhere out there your master is sitting on the chair stalking the entire internet with his spambot minions. We will find you someday. The Survey Corps will bring down the Titan Bots and your leader. Be prepared.

Kiky

Well you pretty much know what I'm going to say because you've become one of my best buddies. Kiky, I'm glad you joined and happy to get to know you. You have a great sense of humor, intelligent, and you are very kind. You're like an older sister who would encourage me to be motivated by your quotes. Man we have so much hilarious moments together it's fun. Anyways just wanted to tell you thanks for being a great friend and I hope I am to you too. Good luck with whatever you're doing and know that the carebear is there for you. Believe in me that believes in you and lets pierce the heavens together! Thanks a lot Kiky! Woo! xD

"On the internet, we only know each other's usernames. If we were talking face to face, I probably would never talk to them this way. They look at the "Real Me". They support me a lot. I wish there were more people like them." - Sumino Hikage.

Hope you guys liked the interview. It was an honor being part of the community and you guys have made a difference in part of my life. Don't think and just say oh TK's just being nice. I really mean everything I said to everyone here. Please know that I care about you guys and the entire Game Podunk Community. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll be sure to answer them. Thank you so much guys! ( ^_^)

What did you think of this interview? tl;dr or did you make it through the whole thing? Do we need to impose a word limit for future MTPs*?

*I'm just kidding TK, we love the enthusiasm!

TK you truly is a special guy and I'm going to go ahead and say that we all have been lucky to have gotten to know you. You are just a lot of fun to be around and really never let much get you down. That is a really tough quality to find in people. And it really shows what GP and even GDD means to you through this lenghty MTP. It took a lot of time and effort and you even gave us each a little section. Thanks buddy!

PS: We all need to game together more.

(actually we were poor at the time so wanted only one or a few gifts. IX was the highest on my wishlist).

Just thought I would mention that for our families poorest Christmas, Me and my sister got blankets. Just blankets. Lol.

I like games that make me sad too. They really are good games. But it has to be a special kind of sad not a "Wtf developers" kind of sad.

TkTheKoolaid xD

The more you type the more fun you have. So I guess you must have had a blast with this interview. It's like a mini novel. I have read fanfictions shorter then this lol. But I did read it all only because you wrote it.

and remember you got your buddy Kiky for the girl talk so don't forget about her.

Girl talk... right... it mostly consist of sports and lesbians. Not even joking lol.

MadsdddDa got his own thank you post LOL

Yeah, same here tk. You know I'm not the "declare my feelings" type but you are also one of my best buddies.

  • Hey at least you got blankets. Better than nothing. The winter is pretty cold so it kept you warm and fuzzy with the family during the holidays.
  • Yep agreed with the sad games. I like to have stories that makes you care about the characters and put yourself in the situation.
  • No comment on TKTheKoolAid. I don't even barge through walls. xD
  • I did have fun. I've actually typed all of this during the summer and through Sept and kept changing things because I felt it was unneccessary or boring. . . and of course trying to express my feelings lol.
  • Haha I don't mind the talk with those topics with you and Cait. It's always fun to learn new things and try to get into the discussion even when I have no idea what's going on. Hey it's always fun when we hang out in GP and talk something else besides games.
  • I didn't add this at first, but when that spambot started stalking, I thought hm I'll add this as a fun little goof.
  • Once again thanks for being an amazing best buddy to me. ^_^

Ludo sent me the qiestions like a week before your Birthday lol. I had everything set up, but didn't make it in time to post it since Luds and Roy were on vacation. Either way I had a lot of time in the months to keep revising and editing. Eh sorry for the long blog. I just felt like typing whatever I wanted to say since this was my only chance to do so.

I think TK needs a special Podunker title all to himself: Community Cheerleader.  Make it happen, Jason!

Wow, leave it to TK to bring some mad feels in one of the best interviews yet! Really don't know what to say, you are just really freaking cool. I also learned so much about the other members (both past and present) of GP, I feel like I've been here way longer than I have and I think I've mainly you to thank for that, making me feel extremely welcome to such an awesome community ^_^

Thank you for the Twitter compliment Gaia! Much appreciated and of course glad to have you as our Community Manager as always. I would be down to have that special title. It will be one for the gai-AGES! (ok that was a horrible pun. Maybe I should have worst punner title as well). ;-)

A like and/or thanks is all I needed to know that you guys care. I am really glad that you were able to find this site and join as it's the best community I've ever been in. It's rare to see a forum site like this to be so grand and wonderful. Man the internet is such a huge place and the rarity of this event doesn't happen much. I'm really glad that I was able to inspire you and others to have a welcome feeling here. Thank you so much Ninja for the coomment too! :D

Thanks for the kind words, TK, and nice review! I actually like reading longer interviews as we get to learn more about the person that way.

And as Gaiages brought out, your enthusiasm for the GP community is always appreciated; I like to think that you're the glue that holds much of the community together, either in the forums, comments, chat, or otherwise. :D

I had to break up reading this into like 3 day chunks. TK was right, I got a stomach ache when I read this, especially stuff related to me, I can't handle this much optimism without feeling awful by the end of it.

Even though I always thought of Digimon when I saw your initials I'm surprised it actually influenced your username too. Anyway, I dunno if you want to go into my league of Japanese rpg playing, because that is definitely something you develop over a long period of time without realizing it. Also, you gotta be willing to play older stuff so you can see the games at their best!

Anyway TK, you're an alright dude, I may think you may borderline insanity with your overwhelmingly optimistic attitude, but I say being optimistic is sure as heck better than most things, especially negativity/pessimism.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go back to puking into a bucket or a /barrel .

Thanks for the chance to reading it. It's always fun to read interviews and getting to know them better. I love the community so much it brings the most out of my enthusiasim for everyone here. Like I said in the interview, everyone is like a family to me. It feels like were in a huge awesome mafia that does good deeds. Gotta keep this place together and aim for the top! :D

Oh barrel buddy. Kekeke pretty much I'll bug you with my optimisitc any time. I know it's annoying, but I am what I am. Yeah it was a great influence. I never really thought about my initials and glad Digimon was inspired. I know I'll never get to the level of your JRPG knowledge, but it's worth a try someday to be part of. I do love reading your reviews on them and understand which ones are definitely worth to play. I'm awful I haven't played older stuff like Chrono Trigger and Xenogears. Heck my bro beaten Xenogears lots of time.

On a random note, for some reason I picture you throwing up rainbows like this when you're reading. xD

Surprisingly, I'm a huge fan of potatoes. xD I just didn't want people thinking they can unload a ton of potatoes on me. And I do. Gosh, you're really making me feel old. Dx  And goodness... Your words are making me feel all mushy inside.

And really, I'm not sure I'm doing as well as you make me out to be. ;_;

But I really enjoy hanging out with with ya and always look forward to when we can chat. :)
