Does the PS4 Need More HD Remasters?

We already know Sony has pretty much indicated we aren't going to see many PS3 games remastered for the PS4 which is wise in ways but I think they should do a few. That may encourage people hanging onto the PS3 for certain games to take the jump to the PS4. Remastering PS2 games for the PS3 in HD was a financial success for most of the "HD Collection" games but they started with those late in the game.

 

In addition to a few key remastered PS3 games, Sony would be silly to avoid looking into the PS2 library for rare titles that would sell well.

 

What games do you guys want to see remastered for the PS4?

 

Here's my Wishlist (although most are very unlikely):

 

The .hack series

Battlefront

Silent Hill

Burnout 3

Disgaea

Disgaea 2

The Elder Scrolls (Complete Series)

Fallout (Complete Series)

BioShock (Complete Series)

Mass Effect Trilogy

Doesn't NEED them but I'd love to play through the Uncharted series again with some visual upgrades before Uncharted 4 hits.

I agree with "NEED" but I think they'd make profit between games. I'm sure a lot of people would want to play through the original Uncharted games again.

Yeah, I agree with Ludo; Uncharted remasters seem like no-brainers at this point.

 

Also, this might be a bit overkill, but another remaster of Shadow of the Colossus would be lovely. But that's just me, haha.

Another Shadow of the Colossus is something I'd buy. Might as well since we probably will not see their next big game until the PS7 ...

I believe that a Mass Effect Trilogy HD is incoming for the PS4 and XB1.

 

They aren't necessary but I do think they help fill out the PS4's exclusive release schedule. The Last of Us Remaster definitely gave it a boost this past summer.

 

I would like to see Heavy Rain, Uncharted Trilogy, and Motorstorm Trilogy. I suspect we'll only see Uncharted.

 

The headscratcher for me has always been Socom. As a franchise, it sold well over 10 million copies for PS2 and PSP. On PS3, it struggled because of changes to format and structure. An HD remake of the PS2 Socom games would sell bonkers. It's time.
