Favourite and Least Favourite PS4 Games So Far....

I haven't been a PS4 owner for long but already have some games I enjoy quite a bit and a few I dislike quite a bit;

My go to games at the moment:

Rock Boshers DX: The Director's Cut

DC Universe Online (the first MMO I actually enjoy)

Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition

Games I have already deleted off the hard drive:

Secret Ponchos

Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut

The biggest surprise for me with the PS4 is how much I enjoy the social networking features. I certainly underestimated them before owning the console. It's still early (for me) but RESOGUN may be the best game I played in 2014.

Which games are you digging so far on the PS4?

My latest Injustice Video f. Scorpion from Mortal Kombat and Nightwing (me):

*I pretty much only play on Medium or Hard difficulty at the moment. Anything harder and I'd be pwned too easily. The fighting genre isn't my strong area in gaming but I've always enjoyed them.

Recommended Comments

I've had my PS4 since launch and I've played....

Favourites (Not in order)

-Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - Loved it!

-Assassin's Creed IV: Freedom Cry - More of the above but with a twist :D

-inFamous Second Son - Loved playing this, but so forgettable haha

-inFamous First Light - Fetch is so much cooler than whatever his name was

-Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes - AHHHHH METAL GEAR<3<3<3

-Final Fantasy IV: A Realm Reborn - This is where much of my life went :(

-Super Motherload - Best indie game on PS4 :D

Meh / Haven't played enough to have an opinion

-Killzone Shadowfall - Solid enough I guess but...bleh
-Drive Club - Great racing....if it would freaking work.
-The Last of Us Remastered - Already played this.... but still good I guess?
-Yakuza Ishin - Eh, it's good but I prefer modern day setting
-Shadow of Mordor - Seems good, have to play more than 2 hours worth haha
-Akiba's Trip 2 - I...think I like it? Need to play more to decide...

-Road Not Taken - Barely played

-Flower - Already played this >_>

-Contrast - Twas alright

-Resogun - Not my cup of tea

-Daylight - Meh, pretty lackluster horror game :P

-Doki Doki Universe - Quirky but haven't played much

-Strider - Barely played, but seems fun

I need to look into Super Motherload. I was going to this morning but it looks like PSN was taken down again last night with a denial of service attack. :(

Infamous: Second Son

Infamous: First Light

Don't Starve

The Last of Us: Remastered

Least Favorites:

Mercenary Kings

Killzone: Shadow Fall

Battlefield 4

Call of Duty: Ghosts

I have actually been most surprised with the indies. I need more meat in the long run though. Playing Knack now, have Watch Dogs and Far Cry 4 up next.

The smaller budget games are quite nice. I plan to get Peggle 2 before long as well.

You need to play Transistor.

Shadow of Mordor

Diablo III

Injustice (I played it a lot on PS3 but still played it a lot when I jumped to PS4 :D)

both Infamous games

Knack (I mean, it's not amazing, but I really enjoyed it)

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty (fantastic remake of an already great game)

Need to play more:

Alien: Isolation (good atmosphere so far, haven't even played enough to encounter the Alien yet though)

Strider (like it so far)

Bound By Flame (okay so far but nothing special)

Rayman Legends (love it so far)

Child of Light (love the combat and art style, don't like the rhyme-speak)

Steamworld Dig (Better suited to Vita, where I've played it more, but great still)

Trials Fusion (fantastic so far)

Transistor (great so far, the combat sounded confusing in reviews but actually playing it, I love it)

Tiny Brains (fun so far but would be better with other people)

Least favorite/just meh:

Putty Squad (sort of borders on meh and terrible, somehow)

Watch Dogs (meh)

Need for Speed: Rivals (meh but the fact that you can't pause even in singleplayer is terrible)

RBI Baseball 14 (just terrible, or maybe I'm terrible at it, it's definitely one or the other)

Dead Nation (good with a friend, but I already played through it on PS3 so meh on the PS4 version)

I have a handful of other games that are either pretty good but didn't quite make favorites, or they're still in the "need to play more/haven't even started" category. :)

I don't think it's you. I was a big fan of the RBI series long ago. It seems they slapped this one together. I played it at a friend's house and thought it was pretty bad.
