Back in the day, I was definitely a Sega girl, since all my friends had one and my mom wouldn't buy me any SNES games... lol.

VideoGameCentral has come out with two new products to play your old Genesis carts (and the Master System from Japan, too!) - a handheld and a console.

The handheld:
Retro Gen Sega Genesis & Mega Drive Portable Game Player - New Sega Nomad w/TV Outs

Pre-order for $50; ships approx. July 17
(can also be connected to a TV)

The console:
New Sega Genesis Console System Model 4 - New Sega System FireBox Game Console for Sega Genesis and MegaDrive Game Cartridges

Pre-order for $50; ships approx. July 17

I still have my old console, but it's in storage, so I'm seriously considering picking up the handheld for some sweet old-school gaming-on-the-go.

I do have quite a few games, but was wondering what are some of your guys' favorites so maybe I will stock on some more?

Neither of your links work for me (I get taken to a search engine page).

I would think this is a great idea, but the only SEGA games I would play are all available on the PC. My favorite SEGA title is still Shining Force: A Legacy of Great Intention, and I have that on CD-ROM somewhere.

Well, I do still have carts so I would like to get this. Just hoping for game recommendations.

The site still seems to be down, but anyway...

I still have my Sega Nomad system, and I have always been a big Sega fan thanks to series such as Phantasy Star and Golden Axe. Sadly, I really have not liked many recent Sega games, and they seem to have gone down hill a lot lately

Sega Genesis was a great console and one of my favorite games of all time was Golden Ax (the original, all newer remakes were dreadful).

Actually...I quite enjoyed Golden Axe 2&3 for Genesis as well, although I do agree that 1 was probably my favorite.

Ah the good old Sega Genesis days. Can't go wrong with Sonic 1 and 2, Disney's Aladdin, Frogger, Michael Jackson: Moonwalker (One of my favorites). This is all I can think of right now. I should check my library to remember the rest.

I have Sonic 1 - 3 and Aladdin. Frogger is on my list, and right now Moonwalker is going for tons of money since he just died...

I didn't think that it would..I should have bought it when I saw it for 15 dollars. =/
