Social networking and personal websites are all the rage now-a-days: they give friends and family a chance to connect and learn more about each other. Even many celebrities have websites or facebook accounts, allowing fans to learn more about their favorite stars. What if our favorite video game characters, both established and new, had their own twitter, myspace, or facebook page? What kinds of fun facts could we learn when they're speaking openly, from their point of view?

Game Podunk is proud to introduce our fun new series, 25 Things About Me, where we will have fun with a video game character, creating their list of 25 things about themselves, as if written from their point of view. Although much of the information included in these lists will come from facts about the character from their games, we've also used our imagination to fill in some of the blanks! So enjoy! We hope you'll have as much fun reading these as we've had writing them.

Our second character is Igor, from Atlus's award-winning series, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona.

25 Things About Me: Igor

1. 8 inches. This is the length of my nose.

2. In the past, I used a bone phone for all my personae summoning. However, my first assistant, Elizabeth (and her successor, Margaret), replaced that. I consider them an improvement, don't you?

3. If you don't currently have an attractive personal assistant, I highly recommend it. They do most of your work, and you can sit back and enjoy yourself.

4. Do not ask about Philemon; he's mysterious for a reason (and my boss).

5. My favorite creatures are humans and butterflies. Humans for all the mysteries they hold, and butterflies for what they symbolize.

6.I run the Velvet Room, which is more than a room wallpapered in velvet, for those who may be ignorant. It happens to be a deep part of your mind and (currently) my personal limo.

7. I'm proud to say that I've been the only character invited back to star in all four Persona games, and I don't see why I won't appear in future sequels.

8. Many call my voice irresistible, others call it disturbing.

9. Although I've been known to have “accidents,” they do sometimes turn out for the best.

10. I am all-seeing and all-knowing. I know what has passed and what will come. But don't ask me about Persona 5, because you will need to discover that for yourself.

11. I have immense power over time, space, and beings - both demons and humans - and I can do it all sitting down.

12. My favorite color is indigo: that deep shade of bluish purple that is almost, but not quite, black. It reminds me of the limbo at sunset, where the world is trapped in a brief moment in neither day nor night.

13. My favorite fabric is velvet, although I do NOT own a purple crushed velvet suit, despite what Margaret may have told you.

14. Before I got my job in the Velvet room, I was planning on pursuing a PhD in philosophy, with a focus on metaphysics.

15. My favorite philosophers are 1) Kant - not because I necessarily agree with him, but because he's thought-provoking, and 2) Buddha. Read them, if you haven't already. It's important to your personal growth and self-awareness.

16. I love to play Bridge, but it can be a challenge to find enough players for a game.

17. My favorite director is Akira Kurosawa, although I do have a fondness for Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal.

18. In my free time, I enjoy listening to opera, especially the Italian masters, like Puccini.

19. When I was younger, I worked in a casino, but that didn't last very long. (Apparently, summoning the Joker during a poker game is frowned upon.)

20. I have a secret aspiration to write a best-selling self-help book series and tour the world giving inspirational speeches about unlocking your inner self.

21. My favorite persona? Well, I can't really pick favorites, as it would lead to massive disharmony...

22. If I watched TV, (which I don't) what show would be my favorite? Hmm. Perhaps something along the lines of Dead Like Me. Somehow, I think I could relate to it.

23. Is it wrong that I'm really looking forward to playing the original Persona on PSP?

24. Although some people cite a strong resemblance between myself and The Penguin (one of Batman's rivals), I assure you, it is entirely coincidental. And I have a much nicer nose.

25. I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes, from the original Matrix film: "Do not try to bend the spoon: that is impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth. . . . Only then will you discover it is not the spoon that bends, but yourself."

I played a little bit of Persona 2 in the past and remember the velvet room but not too much of Igor. This list fits him well.

Yes, I create these lists myself, often with a little (or a lot) of help from fellow staff, such as Dark, Sky, and Liz.

I sometimes will read up a little (esp in the case of Bayonetta, since it hasn't come out yet) to help me, but mostly I try to get in the character and fill in the blanks.

In this case, there wasn't much to go on as far as Igor goes, so I just tried to think of what his favorite things would be, etc., etc. .

The point of these are to have fun and "get to know" your favorite characters better.

I definitely want to play the Persona PSP if I get one (a PSP)... I'm about 75% of the way through Persona 4 right now and enjoying it .

Hope everyone (as I say in my preface) is having as much fun reading these as I do writing them! Look for more of these in the future!!

Didn't see how much Igor looked like Penguin. I'd say even Batman will get confused lol.
