Do you like classic shooters like Doom? then come check out STRAFE on kickstarter. STRAFE is a classic shooter with randomly generated levels and tons of blood and guts.

Check out some gameplay video

The game needs your help it has 7 days left on kickstarter and really close to it's goal. So head on over and drop some cash or even just tell your friends about and spread the word. I really want to see this game happen.

Kiwi was not very optimistic about this one when he first saw it. The trailer screamed "trying too hard" and the lack of gameplay footage that Kiwi could find did not fill him with hope. Kiwi was also kind of frustrated with the presentation. He gets "hey gaiz we're retro" vibe they're going for, it's just that Kiwi wishes that there would be times that they drop the act. The video you linked is a good example. Not even a minute in and Kiwi got tired of their whole "1996 guys!" act. Kiwi will admit that he didn't watch the whole thing so maybe they did.

However, Kiwi did try the build they put up. "Maybe look at it again when it comes out or something" went to "Neat, Kiwi wants to see more." Kiwi could easily nit-pick little issues in it all day, but he wouldn't because it's a stupidly early build. But for all the little (and not so little) issues Kiwi had with it, the core of something good is present. Movement felt right (when the game was running smoothly anyway) and the guns available handled nicely. Kiwi could see this becoming a game he will enjoy greatly when it gets released.
