Opinion needed: Final Fantasy XV pre-order

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

For those of you buying Final Fantasy XV on day one, would you prefer getting the game at the usual discount GCU rate ($48) or would you rather get it with the Season Pass if you could get it bundled in, but for $65 total (game and season pass) instead (such as with the Best Buy exclusive version)?

I initially did the latter, but the more I think about it, you're really only getting the Season Pass for $17 with that deal as opposed to the $25 will normally cost. That, along with the fact that we don't have all the details on what the Season Pass will bring (it could be disappointing given previous season passes for other games) is making me think I should cancel and just preorder the standard version.

What are your guys' thoughts?

I have the Deluxe Edition preordered on Amazon. I may have to switch to Best Buy since it has a $10 preorder bonus. Though I'm sad the season pass bundle is only for regular editions. Wish it was on Deluxe as well. Though I could use the $10 bonus to buy the season pass at $14.99 though since it's regularly $24.99. Anyways I have enough Swagbucks to redeem a $100 Best Buy gift card since I can't find any at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Gamestop, or any convenience store. Where they heck are they?!

Anyways as for opinion I think the season pass bundle is a good deal with GCU. I have a month to cancel my Amazon order and switch to Best Buy order. I might pull the trigger in the next few weeks.

Not to get away from the main subject, but how long does it take to get enough Swagbucks to redeem for a $100 BBY gift card? Just curious. xD

Let's see from what I'm averaging, I've earned 3000-4000 ($30-40) a month depending how well you do it. It's sometimes a drag. I just reach the daily goal and I'm done for the day. For the past 3 months I've saved up to 10000 ($100) cuz I wanted to save up for Black Friday. I usually go for Amazon since that's the only online place I shop. Now that I got GCU I can get a BBY card.

P.S. I've never redeem a BBY card so it would be the first time. Also there's taxes for Swagbucks if you redeem $600 or more. So far I have $450 this year so redeeming that $100 would make it $550. My goal is to reach $599. xD

My opinion comes heavily influenced by my distaste for Season Passes and DLC in general, keeping that in mind I say save the Money
