I just beat Boxboy!. The amount of content in that game is staggering for the price it's at ($5). Nintendo easily could've charged $15 to $20 and it still would've been a value. Anyhow, really good puzzle game if you're into those.

Finished Transformers: Devastation just now. The game is definitely a Platinum action game, and it's a lot of fun to play. The only downsides were the length (around 6 hours for the story) and the fact that there was a lot of repetition in the boss fights. Still worth checking out though if you like the brand and Platinum's games, but maybe better as a rental or at a lower price.

I still haven't messed around with Challenge mode though, so that will add more length and possibly variety as well.

Looking forward to checking this out at some point. Dunno if I'll get to it before 2015 ends though.

Now that I think about it, I still need to play the High Moon Studios Cybertron games. o_o

Recent games I beat.

Child of Light - Really good western JRPG.

Gears of War Judgement - Normal good, I don't know why but it's just really satisfying to kill guys in this game.

Sleeping Dogs - Much darker than I expected, fun but got kinda tedious towards the end ^^

OMG you guys I actually played and finished a game! It's been a while. I finished off Transformers Devastation. It was short and a bit repetitive and no War for Cybertron but it was ok.

Finally got around to playing and beating The Walking Dead Season 1 and The Wolf Among Us. Both great games. The Walking Dead was so tense especially because I was so protective of Clementine. I've never had a game make me feel that way before. o_o Then in Wolf Among us you get to just be a badass.

Now I'm on the lookout for Walking Dead season 2 for $10 or less.

I have to say Telltale is doing a great job with these type of games and they appear to be popularizing the genre. Maybe over the next few years this genre will overtake the FPS as the most dominant genre.

Beat Chibi-Robo: Zip Lash a few days ago. I liked it but it's definitely a "good, not great" game.

Still, if you enjoy platformers, I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot. Next up for me is Codename STEAM!

So, I finally beat Tales of Zestiria yesterday, finishing what I believe to be a majority of the side quests in just under 50 hours. Yeah...uh--

I have to say that this game is ultimately up there with Xillia for me, maybe slightly better since I actually finished it. 50 hours for a Tales game felt kinda short, the game literally took me about 20 hours to feel competent with the combat, it's got one of the worst equipment systems I've ever seen in a JRPG, and the story went from meh, to oh this could be interesting, to meh ending. Not to mention now that I'm done, it seems like all there's left to do is one more dungeon that seems relatively easy so far, and then grind for in game currency to use towards a New Game + and hunt for random landmarks and what not. All in all, I'd say it's at about a 6 / 10, maybe a 6.5 since there were times the music was amazing, like the opening. Now, I haven't had the chance to play Xillia 2 at all, but comparing Xillia and Zestiria, they were both two steps in the wrong direction for the Tales of franchise. I really hope they can figure something out for the next one as I'm afraid the series is losing its shine.

I actually beat a lot of stuff over the weekend.

Dragon Quest Heroes - So awesome, so much nostalgia, I love it.

Tales from the Borderlands Episode 1 - I never really cared about the Borderlands games, because it relied a lot on playing with parties.  I did find the story somewhat interesting, though.  So this seemed like a god compromise, and I really enjoyed the first episode :)  I'll probably buy the other 4 when they're on a sale or something.

Ridiculous Fishing - It's ridiculous.  Worth the 3 bucks.

Asphyxia - I was a bit surprised by this.  Quite well written, the art is good (but kinda unsettling, why do they all look like dolls?), and delves into some heavy subject matter.  It's pretty short, I recommend giving it a try.

Halo 5. I didn't hate the campaign but I don't like the ending. As for the MP, in all honesty, I think it's horrible. The maps are boring and I can't distinguish one from another as they are all pretty much designed the same. it lacks interesting game modes, and what is up with the aiming? That misplaced reticule that doesn't line up with your sites is just plain odd and annoying.

I'm not huge on Halo but I did read up on the story in Halo 5 on Wikipedia, and I will say the direction they're going with is... pretty strange, to say the least. Didn't expect that at all, and now I'm wondering how Halo 6 will end that trilogy.

I thought I was the only person who wasn't particularly fond of Halo. Well, actually FPSs in general except Bioshock. o_o

I beat Life is Strange a while back which is amazing! This and Splatoon have been the only 2015 games I've played and both my GOTY games.

Also last night I beat Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest. I started this back in 2012 and stopped playing so I decided to beat a game that I started from the backlog and finished it up. It's an ok game, but at the time I needed a game for PS Move. . .I beat it with a regular controller lol.

I love Halo too.

I finished The journey down chapter 1 in 3 hours. It was a fun adventure game with fun characters. I have a love hate relationship with adventure games because I always need youtube to make any progress in the games because i can't figure out the puzzles. I didn't need any youtube for The journey down so I love it. I am playing chapter 2 now and I backed chapter 3 on kickstarter.

Nice! How does the game compare to other similar games? I loved Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls and recently beat The Walking Dead S1 and The Wolf Among Us which didn't really do anything new in the genre, but were both amazing games. I think this interactive story stuff is my new favorite genre.

Not many people played those. The Journey Down Chapters 1 and 2 are two of the best adventure games I have played. I played the original 2D game on AGS, then I preordered Chapter 2 at a discount and that came with Chapter 1(which was a remake of the original) and some of the money went to charity on top of it.

Heavy Rain and Beyond are more interactive with various choices that affect the ending and has a lot of endings that Life is Strange. After beating the game, Life is Strange feels like it covers your personal experience on certain aspects in life and people around you in some way. I am very glad the the choices I made were positive.

There is an intense moment in the game where a certain character can die or not depending on your choice that affects the story. I don't want to spoil, but I really love the narrative and characters. I love the gameplay mechanic where you can rewind time if you don't like the choice. The soundtrack has some indie feel to it. I plan on eventually reviewing the game for GP, but I'm lazy lol. The story has it's moments, dark moments, and emotional moments. The ending made me teary because of the tough choice. Overall I recommend the game. You should def wait for a sale on it since all episodes are out or maybe a physical release. I have to agree with you about the interactive genre too. It's absolutely beginning to be one of my favorites. I still need to play Tales from The Borderlands and Minecraft: Story Mode. I do have Telltale's Game of Thrones I need to finish as well (waiting for last episode). Anyways that's all I can say. If you really like the genre I think you'll enjoy Life is Strange. Uh here's a cool trailer for it. Life is all about choices.

I finished Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus. It was short, but fun. I didn't like it quite as much as Tools of Destruction or A Crack in Time, though. (Or the original trilogy, for that matter)

Nice! I still gotta play That one, All 4 One, and Full Frontal Assault. Maybe next one we should finally get around to All 4 One. Just need to find more people to play with.

I beat Dust: An Elysian Tail during my Extra Life stream.  It was alright.  The gameplay started off fun, but it became a little tedious near the end.  I didn't even die too often (except for an unusual amount of deaths in one area) despite mainly just raising attack and ignoring defense and HP until necessary.  Essentially I killed most enemies a little too easily, so most of the time they couldn't land a hit unless I wasn't paying attention and got mobbed.

The story was also suuuuuper dramatic and kinda meh in the end.  It had potential, but I feel the game focused a little too much on the (understandably) dramatic aspects of the plot and not enough on the... not as dramatic aspects, if that makes sense.  The final boss/ending came off as cheesy and overwrought.

I think I'd give it a 6/10.

A few games to add from this week:

Halo 5.  A lot to say about this, but this is probably not the format for me.  Short campaign.

Dragon Quest Heroes.  Far too many protection/escort quests for my liking, but still not too bad.  Definitely worth playing if you have any interest in the DQ franchise.

Woah I know you have a PS3 and PS4, but didn't know you have an XBox One. How is the Halo 5 campaign compared to others? Sad to hear it's short. I like playing long campaigns. Have you played the multiplayer as well? Best out of all Halos?

I only played DQVII on PS2, but never beaten it, but I do enjoy it. I've never played other DQ games besides VII and demo of this at Best Buy. Sounds like the game is fun and liked it when I played the demo.

Keep forgetting to post this but I finally beat Heavy Rain. If you have a PS3 and the game and haven't played it yet, well go do yourself a favor and beat it. Quite an amazing game. That ending I did not expect. I even went on afterward to watch all the possible endings.

Nice! I agree the game was amazing and totally did not expect the ending.

He was my favourite character and honestly the last person I would have expected to be the killer.

Same guys! I got the best ending and yeah def an amazing game! Heavy Rain/Beyond Two Souls Remastered is coming to the PS4 (I think they're out already). If you haven't picked those up then def pick em up if you have a PS4 and haven't played it yet.

Anyways back on topic...

I finally beat DARK SOULS on the PS3. Whew! I spent the entire month wasting hours on this game and never gave up. The feeling of beating a game like this is such an awesome feeling. I've never played a game that is so brutal in many ways, but damn it was worth the journey. I ended up totaling about 80+ hours and got my level to 112. Yes 112. This is the first time in any games I've played in my life that I got a character to level 90 or more. Last game I got a character that high was FFVII or IX or Tales of Symphonia on GC. Anyways I'm gonna say I recommend the game for a great challenge. Don't give up because it's so hard. You gotta strategize, find weapoon/equipment that you feel comfortable, and don't rush. Just take your time and yeah it's gonna be a time waster doing that, but you'll enjoy it. Now it's off to Dark Souls II eventually lol.
