I beat Alan Wake's American Nightmare on XBLA. What an awesome game done in the style of a Twilight Zone episode. A little repetitive, but tons of action. I really enjoyed it. In fact, I enjoyed it so much I went ahead and ordered the retail version of Alan Wake to play! I can't wait to dive into it. I love the narrator.

^ Yea, the box art was definitely inspired by Mario 2, lol. I think it looks good. The game is still in peer review apparently, taking its sweet time... AJ2 should have a concrete release date soon. Price has been finalized at 80 MSP ($1). So knockout some bing rewards and grab this game with your virtual loot!

I got in on this with my secondary silver account. I didn't own either of these classic XBLA games so the deal worked out great for me . You can make a silver account to take advantage of this but your silver account cannot be empty. You have to play a game or 2 on it first. Also need a CC or Paypal attached to the account... Just make sure you CANCEL auto-renew.

I checked this one out a little earlier today when it hit Steam. It looks like it is right up my alley. I will most likely pick this up during the Steam Summer Sale. It definitely reminds me of The Neverhood with the claymation and gameplay. I doubt it will be as good, but we'll see.

Apple Jack 2 is coming to XBLIG sometime within the next week or so. The game is done and will be entering peer review on Saturday. Tim (the creator) has released a trailer for this insane action puzzle platformer. Check it out: Borrowing the throwing mechanic from Super Mario 2 and adding in an awesome combo system make this game one of the most unique platformers I have ever played. I have been anticipating this release for many months ever since it was announced. Has anyone else been awaiting this release? I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on the trailer as well as the first game. I inquired My Owl regarding the launch price... He was initially planning on releasing @ $3 (240 MSP) but I think after all the articles on 80 point games selling a lot better on XBLIG he is going to launch at $1 (80 MSP). We will see... It is a great value at either of those price points. If you missed out on the first game, Apple Jack... do yourself a favor and at least give the demo a shot. Throwing enemies and stringing together combos could not be more fun ! Currently available on XBLIG for 80 MSP. The official developer blog. I know there is a lot of junk on XBLIG, but there are also quite a few diamonds in the rough. If you haven't given XBLIG a shot, this game would be a great introduction. I will update when a release date and/or price is finalized. Update via Twitter: The game is completely finished and was submitted for peer review. But a last minute change to level 2 left a hidden bug and it had to get pulled from peer review to be fixed. As per MS rules, once a game is pulled or fails peer review, you must wait a week to resubmit. That was on 5/2/12. It should be coming out soon. Update via Dev Blog: Apple Jack 2 will be going into peer review this Saturday. So it looks like it will be out sometime next week as long as there aren't any hidden game breaking bugs.

I just beat Portal 1 last night. It was a pretty short game (Steam says it took me 2 hours), but still was a blast to play thru. It is such a creative game. I really liked it. I managed to get Portal 2 for a couple pieces of coal last Christmas.and have yet to play it. I think I will start it up tonight. BTW, if you haven't picked up Portal 2 on steam yet it is currently on sale for six bucks and change (cheaper in a 2 pack). Looks like they just added some free DLC with a level creator. Sounds fun ! If anyone wants to play thru the co-op with me, shoot me a PM.

Yea, I had to retire it. On the bright side, my Sega Dreamcast pre-order shirt from EB still fits ! I still wear that thing from time to time. I don't usually get very many comments on it though. The Dreamcast was largely overlooked by the masses.

I used to wear it all the time, unfortunately I have outgrown it.
