    Hey people, Hope everyone is doing well! I joined Game Podunk back in July of 2013 and found the community to be pretty welcoming and affable. I was running a site back then called SpawnFirst, and posted a couple of times for contest opportunities (I think a few members actually won, if I'm not mistaken). I now run a curated gaming news website called GameWires.com, and my partner and I are looking to start some really good contests down the road, and of course, we'll mention them here on GamePodunk first because of the awesome community (and Jason of course, let's not forget him Outside of that, I work in IT as a Systems Administrator, I have a full house (wife and 3 rascals), and am generally pretty social online and off. I'm hoping to really get back into a forum platform, seeing as my time at Opa-Ages was just too dramatic, and NeoGaf is just too smothering. Game Podunk strikes me as the porridge with exactly the right temperature. I hope to contribute to this lovely place, and throw down some awesome contests for you guys down the road. Thanks, all.

    Definitely TK! Hope the RNG gods lay some love on you guys Jason took the words right out of my mouth. But yes, we're a gaming aggregate like N4G (with voting like Reddit), but instead of just everyone posting, only site owners and their staff submit content to us. This ensures that only quality articles are coming in from lesser-known websites while IGN, Gamespot, Kotaku, and the other too-big-too-fail sites can just sit it out at the bench, watching us with envy Thank you! Glad you're in. As always, GamingPodunk members ALWAYS get two entries, so you all usually have double the chances as opposed to standard users (just always confirm your entry here a.k.a. post the username you created on GameWires, so I know to double up your chances).

    Hey Podunkers! Long time no contest Hope you all are doing well. I just wanted to let you all know that we'll be running a contest starting this coming Monday, the 17th of August. The contest will run for two weeks and end on Saturday, the 29th of August with 2 winners chosen and announced on the next day. There will be two prizes: a PS4 and an Xbox One copy of the Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain Collector's Edition (US Versions). When the submission page goes live, you'll have to sign up (if you haven't already), enter in your GameWires username, and you'll be able to specify the version you would prefer to win (PS4, Xbox One, PS4 but okay with Xbox One, Xbox One, but okay with PS4). The criteria for winning is simple: just vote or comment on at least one post on GameWires.com and you're entered in!     Hey all, just a quick update: We decided to forgo the Witcher 3 contest because of lower-than-expected engagement the last time we had a contest. GamePodunk members certainly filled up the majority of the contestants, but outside of GamePodunk, we had a much lower response over time. Still, we learned quite a bit about the process and how to adequately leverage future contests. Worry not - we're definitely planning on a Metal Gear Solid V contest (for a collector's edition prize) at the end of August. I'll keep you updated.
