  1. This week“s Nintendo Download offers plenty of content. The flagship game this week is definitely Adventures of Pip, which hits Wii U a week earlier than they announced a while back. Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven arrived on Nintendo 3DS today; that one comes from the producer of Story of Seasons and Rune Factory. ! And this week“s Virtual Console release (on the Wii U) is...Pac-Attack! This is a bit of an eclectic choice, with Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure's release so close. Pac-Attack is a puzzle game along the same lines as the Dr. Mario series. There are plenty of sales this week, but among the most noteworthy is the EnjoyUp 10th Aniversarry Sale which features deals on Unepic, Spy Chameleon and more. Be sure to check the Nintendo eShop to see the many, many smaller games featured in this week's Nintendo Download. Are you going to grab Adventures of Pip on Wii U? What about Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven? Be sure to let us know!
  2. It's been a long road for the Kickstarter-backed game but the pixel-focused Adventures of Pip from Tic Toc Games is now confirmed for release in early June after a one month delay happened last month. In light of the game's impending release, Tic Toc has released more info on what to expect from Pip's three different pixel evolutions. The first evolution (the 1-bit pixel) will be the smallest and lightest of the bunch, allowing him to fit through tight areas and jump to greater heights; while the second evolution ( is the most agile, allowing him to wall jump and sprint to complete certain challenges. Finally, the third evolution is the heaviest and strongest, which will allow you to break and crush heavy obstacles, as well as put on a good offensive with his sword. Also of note — Jake Kaufman, noted for his musical work on DuckTales Remastered, the Mighty Switch Force games, and Shovel Knight) will be handling this game's soundtrack; and Marc Gomez, renowned for his art direction on A Boy And His Blob (Wii), is responsible for the game's overall concept. Adventures of Pip launches first on Steam worldwide on June 4, then on Wii U in North America on June 11. Are you excited for Adventures of Pip's release?
  3. It was less than two weeks ago when we announced that Adventures of Pip would be releasing very soon, but those of you looking forward to TicToc Game's promising, upcoming indie platformer will have to contain your excitement for just a little bit longer, unfortunately. TicToc Games took to Kickstarter to relay the information in their latest update, which read: "We are sad to announce that Adventures of Pip“s release date for both Steam and the WiiU (NA) has been pushed back to June 2015. We're finalizing the build and locking in a new release date before making any future announcements. We will continue to update you guys on any news regarding any release date announcements across all platforms." While it's unfortunate that the release date was pushed back, it is only a month's time, which helps soften the blow a bit. Additionally, last minute delays for indie games like this aren't unheard of; last year's indie darling Shovel Knight was delayed from its original March release until the end of June. So while Adventures of Pip's delay hurts a bit, it won't be long before you get to play it for real this time. Source: Kickstarter Are you bummed about this delay?
  4. Good news, Kickstarter and platformer fans; Adventures of Pip—new indie dev TicToc Games' first title—is coming to a PC and Wii U near you very soon. Adventures of Pip is a side-scrolling action platforming game that has a tried-and-true story about a hero on his journey to save a princess from an evil queen, but features a different kind of twist when it comes to the gameplay. The hero, Pip, starts out as just one pixel, but can absorb pixels from defeating enemies to evolve into an 8-bit form and then further into a 32-bit form. However, in order to progress through the game, you'll need to blast through environmental puzzles and enemies, which devolves Pip by one evolution form, so you'll need to balance your use of his abilities as you play. It won't be much longer before you can play, though, as Adventures of Pip is confirmed for release on Steam and Wii U on May 14. TicToc is also planning PS4 and Xbox One releases shortly after. Stay tuned for more info on those versions. Source: Kickstarter Are you interested in checking out Adventures of Pip?
