LE Super Smash 3DS XL Coming to Europe

John found this earlier and so I thought I'd mention it here as well. Apparently it's only confirmed for Europe at the moment, but seeing as we usually get most of the LE's they get, I'd presume it's coming to North America as well. Anyhow, that's a pretty sweet LE 3DS XL if I do say so myself; probably one of the most detailed I've seen to date as well. Anyone here eyeing this if it gets a release here?
  2. When Animal Crossing: New Leaf was set to launch in Japan, a special edition 3DS also came out to promote it. The adorable white system with Animal Crossing-inspired printing was relegated to the Japanese market, though, no matter how much North American and European gamers wanted it. At least, that was the case. Today's Nintendo Direct revealed that the system is coming to both these regions soon. On June 9th, also the release date of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, you'll be able to pick up the pretty 3DS XL. The system is priced at $220 and comes with a digital copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The game is stored on a 4GB Micro SD card as well. Unfortunately, that small card is probably not enough for gamers who will want to make more use of 3DS's eShop in the future. On the plus side, Micro SD cards aren't priced at exorbitant rates. Are you interested in getting a 3DS XL if you don't have one already?
  3. If you've been looking to buy a 3DS XL system then this may be just the incentive you need. Today, Nintendo announced a promotion that grants those who register a 3DS XL system (and specific game) are given another game for free. There are a few details involved, but they're not complex. So, let's say you register your shiny new handheld today. After that, you have until April 30th to register either of these games: Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. These both come out on March 24th, which is part of why the registration period is so long. Both games can be registered whether you buy them in store or get them through the eShop. With one game and system registered, you will then be able to nab one of these five games at no cost: Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone (Review) Freakyforms Deluxe Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask (Review) Star Fox 64 3D Super Mario 3D Land All of the available titles will be given as eShop downloads. Of course, you must be a Club Nintendo member to be able to register and claim rewards. Which do you think is the best game of the available five?

Pink 3DS XLs are Coming Soon

What better way to celebrate this consumer-driven month than with another new 3DS color? Specifically, the 3DS XL is getting a color which many will be excited about. It is the much-anticipated pink (and white) version! Although this system has been seen before briefly on a no-name shopping site, it is now officially heading to the US. This news comes thanks to GameStop's latest ad, which features the system prominently. It is only noted as "coming soon", but that soon probably means before Christmas and New Year (or even this Sunday). Also of note for pink fans, GameStop has also called this a limited edition color. Whether or not that turns out to be the case though is currently unknown. If you do decide to go through GameStop to get your pink on, then at least they're offering a promotion with it. However, it might not be the most exciting bunch of titles. You get your choice of one of the three Nintendogs + Cats games and a copy of Steel Diver.

New 3DS XL Bundle Includes Mario Kart 7

Are you one of the people out there still lusting for a 3DS? What about simply wanting to upgrade your current 3DS for a lager screen? It's not as if gamers aren't starved for choice as to what version and color of the system they want, but Nintendo has just announced a new holiday bundle for their 3DS XL in North America. First off, the 3DS XL included is blue/black and comes with a copy of Mario Kart 7 installed on it. As such, there is presumably no game cart or case inside, but just the data ready to go on the handheld. This bundle is going to be available for a limited time (through the holiday season) once it arrives on December 2nd. If you're interested, the bundle is set to cost $200. In comparison, just buying a 3DS XL by itself also costs $200. While the bundle may be limited, the blue/black system isn't. That dual color scheme, along with the red/black one, both arrived earlier in the year and are still available. If you're interested in Mario Kart and like blue systems though then this looks like the bundle to grab.

The Circle Pad Pro is Back for 3DS XL

Before 3DS XL was initially unveiled there was one question on everyone's minds. Would this system come with a second circle pad on the device by default? The original 3DS system only had one and asked users to buy a Circle Pad Pro attachment if they wanted to play a handful of games in the "best" way possible. When the updated system was finally unveiled there was no second circle pad. Then people took to wondering if there would be a new attachment made for the system. As it is obviously larger, the original attachment just wouldn't fit. The 3DS XL arrived in Japan on July and in US just last month. Now it has been unveiled that, yes, the Circle Pad Pro is coming to 3DS XL. This listing on Nintendo of Japan's official website shows the device. No price, release date, or confirmation for markets outside of Japan has been revealed yet. However, we can probably expect to see the new Circle Pad Pro announced for us soon enough.
