Hey figured I'd throw an NBA discussion thread on here to spark some talk about the league I love. Some good questions to start things off: 1. Do you guys think the Cavs will have similar growing pains to those the Heat had? 2. What are your guys early ROTY candidates? 3. What team out of the lottery do you think can have the biggest rise this year? To answer my own questions here: 1. I personally think they will struggle a lot defensively, and that will cost them games. But I see Love as the personality to adjust well, as he has done previously on Team USA. I just see him as a good glue guy on and off the court. I see the X factors to their success as Dion and Kyrie and how they handle taking less shots. 2. I personally think with Wiggins now on the Wolves, it should be his to lose. 3. I think the Bucks are in position to be one helluva sleeper this year, especially with the East in shambles. Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker together are gonna be a matchup nightmare on the wing, plus Knight had a great year last year, and I see Sanders bouncing back. I think they have a great core group, and if they all just over-achieve a very little bit, then they can be dangerous as hell.

RIP to Dr. Jerry Buss, the late owner of the Los Angeles Lakers. Dr. Buss had been hospitalized for most of the past 18 months while undergoing cancer treatment, but the immediate cause of death was kidney failure. He had helped the lakers to 10 NBA championships from the Showtime dynasty of the 1980s to the era of Shaq and Kobe. Under his leadership, the Lakers have become one of America's most well known team (whether you hate or love them). He also owned the NHL's Kings from 1979 to '87, and the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks also won two league titles. He also owned Los Angeles franchises in World Team Tennis and the Major Indoor Soccer League. He served two terms as president of the NBA's Board of Governors. The NBA and Lakers fans will surly miss him. I saw this on a friend status on fb about Dr. Buss:
