  11. When Deus Ex: Human Revolution initially launched back in 2011 it was available for PS3, 360, and PC. As is often the case, Wii was left out. More recently, Square Enix revealed that they were going to release the Director's Cut version of the game on Wii U exclusively. Not only would it include DLC and gameplay tweaks but also GamePad functionality. Now Square has announced that this better version of the game is coming to PC, PS3, and 360 alongside Wii U. How exactly will these other systems replicate the Wii U-exclusive aspects? Simple! SmartGlass technology will be used on Windows and 360 while the Vita can be used as a second touch screen with PS3. Of course, these methods require the player to own a SmartGlass-compatible device or Vita alongside their home consoles, but it is a solution all the same. Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut was asked for by fans of other platforms which is why we're now seeing it lose Wii U exclusivity. Players can get a shot at the definitive Deus Ex: Human Revolution experience later this year.
  12. It was just last month that Square Enix revealed the surprising news that their successful Deus Ex: Human Revolution would be coming to Wii U. It isn't just a port either, as the game includes new features designed specifically for the platform's GamePad. Of course, there are other tweaks too such as altering boss fight mechanics to make it an overall better experience. Square Enix have since said that their Director's Cut won't make its way around back to other consoles. So far, the game is set to end its run in the best form possible for Nintendo's system. Have you been curious to see how these Wii U-exclusive features work? A trailer has been released which shows them off, which can be viewed below. Just don't get too excited yet, as Deus Ex: Human Revolution - The Director's Cut is not launching this year. Instead Square Enix confirmed it for 2014 release.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Announced for Wii U

Deus Ex: Human Revolution may have launched back in 2011, but it was a pretty good game that Nintendo-specific players unfortunately had to miss out on. Now, with the Wii U out, Square Enix has decided to bring the property to the system "soon". Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut was announced by the publisher today and may be the definitive version available. As you might expect from a late re-release, both the Tong Rescue mission and Missing Link DLC are included from the get go. Boss fights have also been tweaked, as well as other enhancements to the game itself. Of course, Wii U specific features have also been added in such as touch screen-based hacking, augmented sniping, and Miiverse integration. Then there are also developer commentaries included with the package. With that, we have experienced another very short time period between "rumor" and fact. Just yesterday the listing for Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut was circulating from Amazon and now it has been confirmed. Unfortunately, no release date has been announced (even though the Amazon page says May 7th).
