  1. There“s plenty to love in this week“s Nintendo Download. First and foremost is Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash, coming to Nintendo 3DS tomorrow. Have you gotten the amiibo bundle yet? It“s still pretty widely available. You can also check out our impressions of the game from E3 2015, if you“re curious how it plays. Next up: the last of SEGA“s latest line of 3D Classics arrives in North America. You can play 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2 with visuals that take advantage of the Nintendo 3DS and exclusive features later today. And then there“s The Legend of Legacy from ATLUS, a game I“ve spoken at length about since its announcement before E3. The demo is available now, the game releases on October 13th, 2015 (so before the next Nintendo Download), and...we“ll have a review coming before this week is over! Next up: the Virtual Console and some deals. Pocky & Rocky with Becky from Natsume is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console later today. If you own Runbow on Wii U, you can save 30% off select Wii U and 3DS games. A list of titles this deal applies to will be available here in just a few hours. Little Inferno is 50% off until October 15th ($4.99 vs. $9.99). A pair of Cooking Mama games will be on sale from October 12th until October 19th. Retro City Rampage DX will be $4.99 until October 22nd. And if you“ve waited a while to get Devil Survivor: Overclocked, it“s going on sale for just $9.99 from October 12th through October 26th. That“s an absolute steal--totally worth it! Last but not least, SEGA and Chibi-Robo have a few new themes this week. There are themes for the SEGA Game Gear & SEGA Genesis, as well as “Chibi-Robo & Friends”. That about does it this week. Be sure to check out the Nintendo eShop when it updates at 9 AM PT, 12 PM ET for even more information and deals. Will you be grabbing Chibi-Robo, or any of the other titles available soon? Be sure to let us know!
  2. This week“s Nintendo Download has a lot of my favorite things packed inside. First up: The update containing Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows releases on the Nintendo eShop on for both Wii U and 3DS today. Yacht Club Games has offered this guide to installing the update on any system you happen to own the game on; heed it! They“ve also mentioned multiple times that the update is coming around 11 AM PT/2 PM ET, which is different from the eShop“s 9 AM/12 PM update time, so head“s up. Nintendo have highlighted Year Walk (releasing today) and Skylanders SuperChargers Portal Owner's Pack (releasing September 20th) as their Wii U eShop releases this week. This week“s Wii U Virtual Console release is Car Battler Joe from Natsume. Time to get to some sales and a price reduction! Both Xeodrifter and Mutant Mudds from Renegade Kid are on sale until October 1st. Swords and Soldiers 3D and other games from Circle Entertainment are on sale until October 8th. and Fractured Soul is on sale for $3.99 (normally $11.99) until October 1st. Last but certainly not least: Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker is now permanently $39.99 on the eShop. And hey, Nintendo even mentioned the upcoming Legend of Legacy demo! Last but not least, this week“s themes are a Pokémon palooza. Look forward to Pokémon: Dancing Pikachu, Pokémon: Pikachu“s Cry, Pikachu Bundle: Dancing & Cry, and Pokémon 151: Mewtwo. There we have it! Make sure to check out the Nintendo eShop later today for even more information and sales! What will you be grabbing from the Nintendo Download this week, if anything? Be sure to let us know!
  3. This week“s Nintendo Download has unique eXperiences, the newest SEGA 3D Classic, another hardcore Wii U Virtual Console release, a bunch of indie favorites, and more. For starters, let“s talk 3D Gunstar Heroes. One of my favorite SEGA Genesis games ever is perfectly ported and portable with new modes and features, including the ability to possess all combinations of all the game“s weapon choices right from the start. This week“s Virtual Console releases seem strategically placed. The Wii U is graced with Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, as well as Genghis Khan II: Clan of the Grey Wolf. Speaking of strategy, some brain-power is needed to play The Bridge, a 2D puzzler arriving on the Wii U eShop today. The Bridge isn“t the only unique indie game arriving this week: there“s also Crab Cakes Rescue, Factorum, Mortar Melon, and Woah Dave! While you“re taking a look at all those titles, you may want to grab the Demo Version of Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX as well. There are a few more things of note popping up on both eShops. Little Battlers eXperience is out on the 3DS eShop today, and (from August 21st through 23rd) the Splatoon Testfire is making its grand return. Whether you“re fighting LBX robots or blasting your friends with ink, there“s definitely some multiplayer fun to be had. The Testfire happens each day this weekend from 3-5 PM PT, 6-8 PM ET. This week“s sales offer humongous discounts (up to 66% off) for certain Capcom games, like Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate from August 24th through 31st. Devil Survivor: Overclocked is $19.99 again until August 24th. Senran Kagura Burst is also $19.99 until September 15th. There are plenty more sales this week, so be sure to check here after the Nintendo Download goes live for more marked down games, including the Capcom ones Nintendo didn“t list in their Press Release this morning. This is the second week in a row Nintendo hasn“t highlighted any new themes. But...there“s certainly more than enough content in this week“s Download! Will you be picking up 3D Gunstar Heroes or any of the other games offered this week? Be sure to let us know!
  4. This week“s Nintendo Download offers a surprise choice for the Wii U Virtual Console, a shiny object, a handful of sales, and more. For starters, let“s mention Wind-up Knight 2, a popular mobile platformer that“s making its way to the Wii U eShop today. If platforming isn“t your thing, and you need a little more meat on your bones... Pandora“s Tower arrives on the Wii U Virtual Console today. As a former Operation Rainfall guy, that makes me all warm and fuzzy. While it may seem like Nintendo reached out to XSEED to make this happen, and thus opened the door for third-party releases on the platform, that's not the case. XSEED only had the rights to the physical version of the game. And hey, It's worth noting that Pandora's Tower was published by Nintendo in other regions, and has already hit the Wii U overseas. Also — this is the first Wii retail game that can be played using only the Gamepad, if that“s your style. Pandora“s Tower can be purchased for $19.99. In addition to those two games are several sales across both the Wii U and 3DS eShops. There are handfuls of games on sale like 3D Game Collection, Murder on the Titanic, Suspension Railroad Simulator, Bombing Bastards, Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune from Nordic Games, Stone Shire, Nano Assault EX, and more! Be sure to check out each respective eShop for a full list of games on sale; they are numerous this week! There are activities happening on Codename S.T.E.A.M. (a tournament), Art Academy Home Studio ( ), and Pokémon Shuffle (if you purchase six jewels, you“ll get six more for free). And last but certainly not least, that Shiny Rayquaza Event I mentioned earlier was highlighted in this week“s Download. For more information (the duration of the event is August 12th through September 14th), check here. No new themes were highlighted this week, unfortunately. Will you be grabbing Pandora“s Tower this week? What about any of the other games on sale? Be sure to let us know!
  5. I don“t often mention the odd disparity between the Virtual Console services in Europe and North America. But I“ve been very vocal about how I feel about this on Twitter, particularly when it comes to games I really want, like Golden Sun: The Lost Age. For those who aren“t in the know, Europe“s had the game on Wii U since November 13th of last year (not to mention, they have almost ten Wii retail games available digitally on Wii U to North America“s...four). Not sure what the reasoning behind all of it is, but...this week“s Nintendo Download offers Golden Sun: The Lost Age on the Wii U Virtual Console! I“m a happy guy. In addition to that game, the GBA classic ONIMUSHA TACTICS is available. Apparently the month of August will offer “hardcore games” on the Wii U Virtual Console in North America. Could we eventually see the digital release of Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii, like Europe got this week? Even though the Virtual Console is my personal highlight this week, Nintendo had a lot more to talk about in the Press Release. They highlighted the huge Splatoon update that went live yesterday, as well as the Smash Bros. update that brought Tournament Mode, additional Mii Fighter Costumes, and two new stages. Pokémon Rumble World also gets an Update Bonus that gives you access to a new area and items. Also: enter the password 48213190 after installing the latest update to receive 100 free PokéDiamonds! Nice. This week“s big retail release on Nintendo 3DS is Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight. Outside of that, there“s just some sales to highlight: Citizens of Earth is only $4.99 (that“s over 50% off) from August 10th ”til August 17th. Stealth Inc 2 is only $7.49 for pretty much the entire month of August. Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl is $14.99 until August 10th. And...Shin Megami Tensei IV will be permanently reduced to $19.99 beginning August 10th. Last but not least, this week“s themes pay homage to Aeternoblade and Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition. Plenty of sales and new content for hardcore gamers has arrived, and apparently will arrive, during the month of August. Be sure to check out the eShop for even more information! Will you be getting Golden Sun: The Lost Age and ONIMUSHA TACTICS this week? Are you looking forward to seeing more “hardcore games” on the Wii U Virtual Console? Be sure to let us know!
  6. This weeks Nintendo Download has a ton to get excited about for Wii U owners! I“ll get to the Virtual Console stuff first, since I actually alluded to it last week, and it was teased earlier. A “triple deluxe” birthday package of Kirby games arrives today, featuring Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards ($9.99 or $1.99 to upgrade), Kirby Squeak Squad ($9.99), and (for the first time since January 29th, in North America) a Wii retail game available to purchase digitally! Kirby“s Return to Dream Land will be available for $19.99, which is much cheaper than what you“ll find the physical version going for these days. Just in case you need a refresher on how these games work, I created a thread back in January explaining things. Xeodrifter arrives on the Wii U today as well. I“m happy folks will get to experience one of my favorite games from last year on the big screen. And I“m even happier that it“s cross-buy! If you already own the 3DS version, the Wii U one is yours for no additional cost! Otherwise, it“s $9.99. In addition to Xeodrifter, there“s also BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition, a side-scrolling action game. And there“s a Just Dance 2016 Demo for those interested in that. Nintendo also highlights the big Splatoon update coming soon . You can check here for more information on that, or eagerly await August 5th, 2015. This week“s noteworthy sales include Eliot Quest on Wii U ($10.99), and several titles from EnjoyUp Games including 99Moves and Abyss. And LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is now $19.99; that“s a permanent price-drop. In case you didn“t already notice, Miiverse has been entirely redesigned; they mentioned that as well. Last but not least, this week“s new theme pays homage to Etrian Odyssey Untold 2. Be sure to check the Nintendo eShop for even more updates and activities when this week“s Download goes live at 12 PM ET/9 AM PT. Are you excited for all the Kirby this week? Will you be playing Xeodrifter for the first time on Wii U, or making the jump to the big screen? Be sure to let us know!

Nintendo Download - July 23, 2015 (North America)

This week“s Nintendo Download...has 3D Streets of Rage 2 in it! I don“t think anything more needs to be said. The latest endeavor from M2 and SEGA will cost you $5.99. Just like the other 3D Classics from those folks, you can expect brand new modes, awesome 3D built from the ground up, and even more features and additional touches. Also new to Nintendo platforms this week is Dragon Fantasy: The Volumes of Westeria on Nintendo 3DS & Wii U. You folks pining for a New Nintendo 3DS exclusive game can grab The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth courtesy of Nicalis. It“s also available on Wii U, for those of you who haven“t made the jump to the newest hand-held yet. The Virtual Console on Wii U gets DK Jungle Climber this week. I keep waiting for them to give us all the Kirby games that Europe has available in honor of Mr. Iwata“s passing--but I guess I“ll be waiting a little longer for that. This week has a bunch of noteworthy sales, too. First up are some WayForward games: Shantae: The Pirate“s Curse & Mighty Switch Force 2 are on sale from July 26th until August 2nd. And ATLUS has reduced the price of Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker from $49.99 to $39.99 from now until July 27th. If you“re on the fence about that one--make the jump for $10 cheaper while you can! I promise it“s worth it. Last but not least, this week“s themes include one for BOXBOY!, Hatsune Miku, and Etrian Odyssey Untold 2. Be sure to check out the Nintendo eShop at 12 PM ET today for more sales and additional information!
  8. This week's Nintendo Download brings a legendary game to the Wii U Virtual Console, offers a handful of decent sales, and has a few adventurous games of note. To start with: Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 ($39.99) arrived on the Nintendo 3DS eShop this past Tuesday. This game was developed to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the franchise, so expect plenty of added challenge and surprises. The Wii U eShop brings Roving Rogue ($7.99), a clever platformer that...starts at the end of the story, then works its way backwards. You play as Kurt, a heroic rouge who teleports his way across some forty challenging levels racing against rising lava, collapsing walls, and fearsome foes. There's even a multiplayer element to the game. But stay tuned for more from me on Roving Rogue; I'll have a review up in the coming days! This week's Virtual Console release is Ocarina of Time. I wonder how many people prefer the Nintendo 64 game over the visually remastered Ocarina of Time 3D. At least you can play this one on your television! This week's noteworthy sales feature some Ace Attorney games on Nintendo 3DS. For starters, Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies will be $16.79 (regular $29.99). And the Ace Attorney Trilogy is $22.49 (regular $29.99). These two games will be on sale until July 16th. Last but not least, this week's themes feature four flavors of Ace Attorney (two from Dual Destinies and two from Ace Attorney Trilogy) and two more flavors of Pokémon (Mega Charizard Y & Mega Rayquaza, plus "Eevee Collection - Espeon & Umbreon). That about covers it for this week. Be sure to check the eShop when it updates at 12:00 PM ET, 9 AM PT for even more sales and additional information. Will you be grabbing Ocarina of Time this week? How about the Ace Attorney games while they're on sale? Be sure to let us know!
  9. I can“t be too upset with this week“s Nintendo Download. I know we“re not getting Yoshi“s Woolly World this week like Europe, and we“re missing out on their double dose of Kirby in the form of Squeak Squad and Kirby 64. But a lot of this week“s releases and sales here in North America are quite good, and coincide with E3 reveals. Art Academy: Home Studio is available on Wii U this week, as is Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna). This week“s sales feature discounts on SEGA 3D Classics (RUN to the eShop, ladies and gentlemen; don“t walk!), Aqua Moto Racing 3D, and the recent Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains. And hey, speaking of ATLUS: Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars will have a permanent price reduction to $29.99 starting June 29th. This week“s Virtual Console releases go hand-in-hand with games revealed at E3. If you“re pumped for Star Fox Zero like I am, you can play some Star Fox Command on Wii U while you wait. And if you“re pumped for Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, you can play some Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. All we need now is Bowser“s Inside Story to make the full lineup of Mario & Luigi games available on both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U! Last but not least: this week“s themes are pretty much all Harvest Moon-related. So if you“re a fan of that franchise, be sure to check them out! Source: Press Release Are you going to grab any games featured in this week's Nintendo Download? Be sure to let us know!
  10. This week“s Nintendo Download offers plenty of content. The flagship game this week is definitely Adventures of Pip, which hits Wii U a week earlier than they announced a while back. Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven arrived on Nintendo 3DS today; that one comes from the producer of Story of Seasons and Rune Factory. ! And this week“s Virtual Console release (on the Wii U) is...Pac-Attack! This is a bit of an eclectic choice, with Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure's release so close. Pac-Attack is a puzzle game along the same lines as the Dr. Mario series. There are plenty of sales this week, but among the most noteworthy is the EnjoyUp 10th Aniversarry Sale which features deals on Unepic, Spy Chameleon and more. Be sure to check the Nintendo eShop to see the many, many smaller games featured in this week's Nintendo Download. Are you going to grab Adventures of Pip on Wii U? What about Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven? Be sure to let us know!
  11. While this week“s Nintendo Download arrived later than usual, it“s still pretty packed with content. First and foremost: Tomorrow is a day many have been waiting for: the release of Splatoon for Wii U (as well as Wave 4 amiibos, hey)! You can grab a Splatoon theme on your 3DS to celebrate, too. For those who“ve kept on reading instead of immediately closing their tab to lie in wait: also new to Wii U this week is Don“t Starve: Giant Edition. And it comes with a giant incentive: if you purchase the game, you also get one free code for the full game to share with a friend. Check out the trailer . This week“s Virtual Console releases help wrap up Mega May with a surprise, and even offer a little something extra. First off: Mega Man Battle Network 4 Blue Moon & Red Sun arrive today. And (surprise!) Mega Man Zero 3 is also coming this week. Check out the full Mega May lineup here. Last but not least, the little something extra...an eclectic NES beat-“em-up also hits the Wii U Virtual Console this week: It“s Rival Turf! Do check out the box-art for this very 90s game; it“s rather...incredible. As mentioned on their Twitter yesterday, Nicalis is having sale that lasts until June 18th. Every single one of their games available on the eShop (that“s 1,001 Spikes on Wii U, plus Cave Story, VVVVVV, NightSky and more on 3DS) are 50% off their regular price. A major update is now available for Pokémon Shuffle players that makes Pokémon much easier to catch than before, and adds welcome features and new levels to the game. Read more here. And speaking of Pokémon stuff--that“s what many of the new themes this week involve. You can grab Pokémon Shuffle, Mega Charizard X, and Eevee Collection themes to give your 3DS some extra flair. Before I go, there“s even more to mention. Best Buys in North America are having a StreetPass Event this weekend to coincide with the Nintendo World Championship stuff, the Miiverse is having a Splatoon-centric contest (so head there for more info), and Codename S.T.E.A.M. is having an “amiibo Agent” tournament (which you can learn about here). That about does it. Are you excited for Splatoon? What else will you get from this week“s Download? Be sure to let us know!
  12. This week“s Nintendo Download offers puzzle-solving, retro accessorizing, papercraft, and more. To start: amiibo Tap: Nintendo“s Greatest Bits releases for free today on the Wii U eShop. This is the software that lets you experience three minutes worth of select NES/SNES Virtual Console titles when you tap an amiibo to your Wii U system. Also available this week, on the 3DS eShop, is a demo for Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition. Are you going to give it a try? The Virtual Console gets another Nintendo 64 game this week; it“s the original Paper Mario. And don“t forget: Mega May starts next week! We“ll soon see several Mega Man games released on the Virtual Console, including Mega Man Zero 2, two more Battle Network games, and more. Last but not least, sales and themes: Games from noted devoper Shin“en will go on sale starting today until May 21st. AeternoBlade will be $7.99 (from $14.99) starting May 1st until May 17th. And Shin Megami Tensei IV will be on sale for $14.99 from May 4th ”til May 11th. Did you pick up the Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker theme that was released this past Tuesday? This week“s theme is from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Source: Press Release Will you be picking up any games or demos offered in this week“s Nintendo Download? Be sure to let us know!
  13. This week“s Nintendo Download features a good variety of content. I“ll get things started by mentioning the new StreetPass games, Battleground Z and Ultimate Angler release today. You can buy either game for $4.99, or both for $7.99. Also, there“s a StreetPass Mii Plaza upgrade coming today, purchasable for $4.99, that lets you add all kinds of new features to the game like StreetPass birthdays and a VIP Room for Miis. If you“re a big fan of the StreetPass Mii Plaza stuff on 3DS...today is a very good day for you! Nintendo of America is celebrating International StreetPass Week from today ”til April 26th. Head to a Nintendo Zone location and get StreetPasses not just from the United States, but from Europe and other places across the world as well! ...It“s almost as though they want folks to get lots of StreetPasses so they can play these new games! Hmm… This week in retro gaming stuff: we've got Donkey Kong 64 on the Wii U Virtual Console, a game many were surprised to see during the recent Nintendo Direct. 3D Fantasy Zone 2 gets added to the lustrous library of SEGA 3D Classics (have you heard of the awesome games that will continue to be added by SEGA in the coming months?). And Mega May will return soon enough, with new Mega Man games being added to the Virtual Console service every week in the month of May! For those of you who don“t already know, the update for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U that adds Downloadable Content and other features went live yesterday; you“ll need to update your games if you“d like to play online. The Super Spring Sale I talked about last week is ending soon, so grab stuff like Captain Toad“s Treasure Tracker at a reduced price while you still can! Speaking of sales: ATLUS has always been good about offering up their games at a reduced price. This week you can grab Code of Princess and Etrian Odyssey Untold: Millennium Girl, if you“d like. Costume Quest 2 is also being offered at 33% off ($9.99). Last but not least: there“s another Codename S.T.E.A.M. tournament, and this week“s new 3DS theme is Yoshi“s Springtime Siesta. All in all, plenty to look forward to when the eShop updates today! Source: Press Release Will you be grabbing the new StreetPass games? What about Donkey Kong 64? Anything else? Be sure to let us know what you“re excited about this week!
  14. This week“s Nintendo Download...has Xenoblade Chronicles 3D in it! That“s all you need to know, right?! ...No? All right. I guess I can keep going. I“m not kidding, though. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is coming to the Nintendo eShop tomorrow, April 10th, and is exclusive to those who own the New Nintendo 3DS XL in North America. Two new themes have been released this week to celebrate Xenoblade; they are “Xenoblade Chronicles 3D: Mechonis” and “Xenoblade Chronicles 3D: Monado” respectively. Have you read our review of the original Xenoblade Chronicles to see what all the hype is about? Fans of the Pokémon Rumble spin-off series should appreciate the free-to-start Pokémon Rumble World; that“s also been highlighted this week. With over 700 Pokémon available to collect, there“s certainly a lot of content to be had. Speaking of Pokémon spin-off games, there“s new content being promoted within Pokémon Shuffle as well. You can check here to learn more about special events featuring Blastoise and Rayquaza. ATLUS also gets some love this week, as Etrian Mystery Dungeon has been in stores and on the Nintendo eShop for a few days now. If you picked up the game, are you enjoying it? Be sure to let us know! And last but certainly not least, in the indie scene, Affordable Space Adventures releases on the Wii U eShop this week! This week“s Virtual Console releases continue to deliver on what was revealed during last week“s Nintendo Direct. North America gets Yoshi Touch & Go, as well as WarioWare: Touched via the Virtual Console on Wii U. And last but not least, there are two noteworthy sales (as well as even more price reductions) starting soon. Nintendo is advertising a Super Spring Sale; you can check here when the eShop update goes live for more information. And Watch_Dogs on the Wii U eShop has been reduced to $29.99 from $59.99. Will you be picking up Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, New Nintendo 3DS XL owners? Have you already tried Pokémon Rumble World? Interested in the new Virtual Console stuff? Be sure to let us know!
  15. This week's Nintendo Download offers up tons of stuff mentioned in last night's Nintendo Direct broadcast, as well as several sales you might enjoy. First up: BOXBOY! from HAL Laboratories. It's good to see the Kirby creators think outside the box every once and a while. Next: Story of Seasons, coming to us from XSEED Games. There are no releases on the 3DS Virtual Console this week, but as we all know by now: Super Mario 64 and Yoshi's Island DS are now available for the Virtual Console on Wii U. These two mark the beginning of many Nintendo 64 and Nintendo DS titles to come to the service over the coming months. There's a Codename S.T.E.A.M. tournament going on from now 'til April 5th, for those interested. Check for more information. There are plenty of good sales starting this week as well. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor: Overclocked has once again been reduced to $14.99. If you're thinking about buying Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker and haven't yet played the first game, there's never been a better time to do it! Speaking of ATLUS, Citizens of Earth is going to be $9.99 (from $14.99) on 3DS and Wii U starting on April 6th. Plenty of smaller titles are getting price-cuts as well including Aqua Moto Racing 3D, Hazumi, and more. And last but not least: this week's new themes include Animal Crossing: New Leaf: Bunny Day, Rottytops Theme and a Shantae Pirate Theme. Have you already purchased this week's Virtual Console lineup? Are you planning to buy Story of Seasons or BOXBOY!? Be sure to let us know!
  16. This week's Nintendo Download gets the party started right--Mario Party 10, to be precise. That's their flagship title for the week, to be sure, with the game's March 20th release right around the corner. Still, if partying isn't your thing, there are a few more interesting games and sales that should catch your eye. First up, Elliot Quest is an indie game that's got a bit of fanfare behind it. This action-RPG of sorts is hitting the Wii U this week. And speaking of the Wii U: KLONOA 2: Dream Champ Tournament arrives on the Virtual Console today! This is the second Klonoa game released on Game Boy Advance. Last but not least, Fossil Fighters: Frontier releases on the 3DS eShop on March 20th. I'll also highlight new themes coming to Nintendo 3DS from here on out. This week: Codename S.T.E.A.M., Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars and several Skylanders variants will give your system some flair for $1.99. This week's sales feature games from Renegade Kid like Xeodrifter and Moon Chronicles. And there are a bunch of other sales to join them like Swords and Soldiers 3D, Zombie Panic in Wonderland DX, several Disney games, and more. If you'd like more information on this week's downloadable titles and sales, as always, check here! Are you planning on picking up Mario Party 10 or Elliot Quest? Be sure to let us know!
  17. It's all about rainbows, sunshine and ice cream in this week's Nintendo Download! I guess there are enough colorful games to brighten up everyone's week, yeah? The flagship game of this week is definitely Kirby and the Rainbow Curse on Wii U, which will available tomorrow starting at midnight on the eShop. You can pre-download the game now if you'd like so you can get it as soon as possible this evening! Also new and definitely noteworthy (if not controversial): Pokémon Shuffle, the free-to-play puzzle game on Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo has also highlighted new DLC coming to Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call including songs from Chrono Trigger and NIER. There's a Citizens of Earth Demo available for those who'd like to try it out. And last but not least, the Virtual Console on Wii U gets AXELAY this week. There are a few sales and activities (like a Pokémon Art Academy contest) going on--you can learn more about those in the official press release here. Are you interested in trying Kirby, Pokémon Shuffle or some of the other games available this week? Be sure to let us know!
  18. This week“s Nintendo Download rings in 2015 with some pinball, a noteworthy sequel, and a few noteworthy sales! While not nearly as jam-packed as last week“s offerings (Duck Hunt, Super Mario Advance 2 and more), Pokémon fans in North America can download Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire right now on the Wii U Virtual Console. The 3DS Virtual Console gets Bionic Commando: Elite Forces. In terms of sales: GP favorite Shovel Knight is 33% off on both Wii U and 3DS until January 8th. And Unepic is on sale for $6.99 versus its regular $9.99 until January 29th. That“s all there is to this week“s Nintendo Download, but as always you can check the full Press Release here. Will you be picking up any games this week? Has the Shovel Knight sale pushed you over the edge on purchasing the game or double-dipping? Be sure to let us know!
  19. This week“s Nintendo Download celebrates Mega Man, Nicalis, wrestling and more! First and foremost: The Mega Manniversary sale offers up to fifty percent off select Mega Man titles until December 22nd. And for those who weren't already aware, Mega Man Zero is available on the Wii U Virtual Console right now. Natsume Championship Wrestling is also coming to the Wii U Virtual Console in just a few short hours. Games from developer Shin“en including Art of Balance, Nano Assault Neo and more are on sale until January 14th. And games like 1,0001 Spikes and VVVVVV from Nicalis are on sale from December 19th until January 5th. Little Inferno is on sale for $4.99 (over fifty percent off) from now until January 1st. Two more things of note. One: METAL GEAR SOLID SNAKE EATER 3D will hit the eShop today, almost three years after the game“s physical release. And it seems Duck Hunt will arrive on the Wii U Virtual Console this time next week, in time for Christmas/December 25th. That should about do it for things to look out for this week. As usual, you can check out the full Press Release here for even more information. Are you going to pick up any games this week? Be sure to let us know!
  20. This week“s Nintendo Download actually has plenty of discussion points. For starters, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is highlighted, as it released this week. For those not in the know, this 3DS remastered collection features Ace Attorney, Justice for All and Trials and Tribulations, the first three games in the Phoenix Wright series. For those who haven“t ever experienced the series before (like me): Will this collection be your jumping point? Also highlighted up top: Xeodrifter releases today! This Metroid-inspired adventure game comes from the folks at Renegade Kid (the minds behind Mutant Mudds, Moon Chronicles and more), and it“s available for $9.99. This week also brings one game apiece on each Virtual Console. The 3DS one gets Harvest Moon 3 GBC, and the Wii U one gets Crash ”n the Boys Street Challenge. Last but not least, there are a handful of sales worth talking about. First up: several Wii U eShop games from developer RCMADIAX (including Shut the Box and Blok Drop U) are on sale until the beginning of next year. Woah Dave! is going to be just $0.99 from December 15th until January 2nd. And the last sale I“ll mention: Steel Empire, the 3DS remake of , has been reduced from $29.99 to $15.99. That“s a little less than fifty percent off. I know I“ve seen fans of the original game proclaiming that the price-point of the remake skews a little too high. But now that it“s going to be cut down (until January 15th), is that enough for some of you to make the jump? That about does it for this week, but be sure to check out the full press release for even more details! Will you be getting any games this week? Do some of the sales entice you? Be sure to let us know!
  21. This week's Nintendo Download is one of those rare weeks with something for everyone. Right off the bat, for those who aren't already aware: Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker releases tomorrow, December 5th in North America, so that's definitely the flagship title this week. Also on Wii U, you can try the Demo Version for Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. The Nintendo 3DS eShop gets Ultimate NES Remix tomorrow, and that comes with a free theme for your system attached to the receipt of your download. The Virtual Console on Wii U finally gets some Fire Emblem love in North America. More specifically...the first Fire Emblem to be released in the West, on Game Boy Advance. This is the one with Lyn, Eliwood and Hector. Also new to the Virtual Console on Wii U this week: Lode Runner. And last but not least, there are a handful of sales worth mentioning: Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan is on sale for 50% off (from $29.99 to $14.99), and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers is the same price, 50% off. Both those deals last from December 8th 'til December 22nd, 2014. AeternoBlade is over 40% off (reduced from $14.99 to $7.99) from December 5th 'til December 19th. That about does it for this week! Be sure to check out the full Press Release here for even more details. What are you excited for this week? Will you be purchasing Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker or Ultimate NES Remix when they release tomorrow? Be sure to let us know!
  22. This week“s Nintendo Download is pretty meaty, even though I“m a little disappointed North America doesn't get Golden Sun: The Lost Age this week. First off: Both Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric and Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal are highlighted. The former is for Nintendo Wii U, the latter is for Nintendo 3DS. Speaking of a game coming to both eShops, I“ll mention LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is now available as well. The Wii U eShop gets too indie gems in the form of Tengami and A World of Keflings. The eShop on Nintendo 3DS gets Tetris Ultimate and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze. This week“s Virtual Console releases are Mario Kart: Super Circuit on Wii U, and Pokémon Trading Card Game on 3DS. Don“t forget, the latter will net you a code for the Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version. And last but not least, Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is on sale for more than 60% off (from $14.99 down to $4.99) from November 14th through 24th. For more information on these and other games released this week on Nintendo platforms, be sure to check out the official Press Release here. I“m surprised they didn“t mention it, but the fist DLC Pack for Mario Kart 8 also came out today. Fun times! Are you looking forward to anything that came out this week? Be sure to let us know!
  23. This week“s Nintendo Download is pretty jam-packed! We“ll start with the Virtual Consoles: The Virtual Console on Wii U will soon feature Super Mario Advance: Super Mario Bros. 2, the remake of SMB2 USA and Mario Bros. (though the latter is also featured on Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga). The Virtual Console on Nintendo 3DS will soon gain Pokémon Puzzle Challenge, which I told you about earlier. Remember, you can grab a code for the Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version when you purchase that game! The eShops have some content coming too! Wii U“s eShop gets Pier Solar HD this week, as well as Disney Infinity 2.0, Sportsball and indie gem The Swapper. The 3DS eShop gets Nintendogs + cats (finally!), which comes with a free theme for your system when you purchase the game. And there“s the Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal Demo which was talked about during yesterday“s Nintendo Direct. Both eShops also get the Pikmin Short Movies that Miyamoto mentioned yesterday. Last but not least, in the land of Price Reductions: Sonic Lost World on Wii U is now available for $29.95 (from $50), and the 3DS version is also reduced to $29.95 (from $40). Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Transformed on Wii U will be $29.95 as well from here on out (from $40). Are we sensing a pattern? Check out more information about this content and today“s releases via the Press Release here. Is anyone planning on picking some games up this week? Let us know!

  25. This week“s Nintendo Download features something many have been waiting for. So I“ll get it out of the way right off the bat! Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS has a free demo coming tomorrow. This demo is, as far as I understand, identical to the demo that Club Nintendo folks got almost a week ago. I“ll get back to you guys once I figure out if it has the limited 30 uses that the Japanese one did, or if it“s unlimited like the Special Club Nintendo one. The Nintendo Download also praises Tuesday“s release of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call for Nintendo 3DS. If Final Fantasy music isn“t your cup of tea, perhaps you“ll be interested in Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appétit! That about does it for major retail and demo talk. On to the Virtual Console and sales! The Virtual Console on Nintendo 3DS gets Legend of the River King 2 this week. And the Virtual Console on Wii U gets Wild Guns. This week continues the Super Smashing Sale that has discounts on Smash Bros fighters. I“ll update this article once I figure out exactly which games are discounted, but Press Release seems to suggest we“ll get Pokémon and Metroid discounts this week, plus more. Also: Moon Chronicles and Mutant Mudds (down to $5.99 from $8.99) are on sale starting today until October 2nd. Last but not least in the land of noteworthy, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars and more ATLUS games are going on sale the week of the 22nd through 29th. That about covers this week“s Nintendo Download, beyond their mention that Hyrule Warriors is coming soon. What are you looking forward to most in this week“s Nintendo Download? Be sure to let us know! Source: Press Release
