  1. What was once ten is now twenty. A few months ago it was announced that anyone who preordered Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale would receive ten exclusive alternate costumes for the following characters... Big Daddy Heihachi Fat Princess Nathan Drake Kratos Sweet Tooth Sly Cooper Colonel Radec Toro Parappa the Rapper You're still getting those costumes with your preorder, but now you get to look forward to ten more alternate costumes when your game ships this November assuming this bonus branches out to every retailer. There hasn't been any word on what these costumes will be or just what they'll look like, but I'm sure we'll all get confirmation soon enough. To find these ads, you can just look at the images included in this news post. If you would like to see them for yourself however, I've included the way to find them. When you type Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale into Google's search engine the first result will of course be the Playstation All-Stars website. Just keep refreshing until you see the description "Get $5 off and 20 exclusive costumes!" For the second advertisement, go to the Playstation All-Stars page on IMDB.com and just keep refreshing until the Playstation All-Stars preorder ad comes up promising five dollars off and the twenty extra costumes. That seems like proof enough, doesn't it?
  2. We may still be reeling from the big Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale leak from last week, but that hasn't stopped people from thinking there is still fun to be had with possible new character leaks for the highly anticipated Playstation brawler. Case in point, an image has been making the rounds on the official Playstation forums showing none other than Crash Bandicoot as a character in the game. While the image posted above does in fact show a picture of Crash Bandicoot about to engage Fat Princess in mortal combat, I'm not entirely convinced the picture is real. First of all, there is no source for the leak. No story as to where it came from or anything. And second of all, Crash just looks out of place. This could be due to the fact that each character has their own graphical look, but even then he still looks odd. But my opinion on the matter doesn't matter because I'm not familiar with how the different photo editing programs work. Until there's an official source for it, we're just going to have to take it for what it is right now. You can view the Playstation thread where the image was originally posted below. http://community.us....highlight/false
  3. There's already been a closed beta going around, but for those of us who can't get into it, we don't have long to wait. Today on the PlayStation Blog, the President of SuperBot Entertainment (Chan Park) talked about an upcoming public beta. Last week was just the start of their early beta testing phase, but in the coming weeks this will expand out to more players. The invitations will come out in batches and may show up for any PS3 owners. When it comes time for the public beta, PS+ members will gain first access to it. Interestingly, Park also commented about the leaks that came alongside people picking through the beta's code. He had this to say about the discovered content: "In addition, there was an unexpected and unintended leak in our beta that allowed fans to be able to see some additional content. We“ve enjoyed reading all of the fan reaction and are thrilled that so many of you are excited to learn more about our character roster and level mash-ups, however we are still in development and the leaked content does not fully represent the final product nor the incredible efforts that were made to make these elements truly spectacular. This will be evident in the coming weeks as this content is officially revealed, beginning with our next character announcement at Gamescom in a couple of weeks." It seems PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale still has a lot left to reveal! Even though Park didn't say so specifically, it seems feasible that gamers can probably expect to see a burst of beta invites to come out around Gamescon.
  4. A bevy of screenshots were recently uploaded from a private beta of the upcoming Playstation All-Stars. Among the leaked screens new stages were showcased including the cargo plane from Uncharted 3, Chop-Chop's dojo from Parappa the Rapper, a warzone stage from Killzone, and the sky town Columbia from Bioshock Infinite. Another more interesting piece of information is the showcasing of more members of the All-Stars roster replete with character headshots, possibly from a character select screen. The list showcases not so newsworthy Cole, Toro, Jak and Daxter, and Heihachi and some new additions and not-so-surprising guests. The full list is below: Dante from Dmc: Devil May Cry Evil Karma Cole McGrath from the inFamous series Ratchet from the Ratchet & Clank series Raiden from the Metal Gear Solid series Sackboy from the Little Big Planet games Sir Daniel Fortesque from MediEvil Nariko from Heavenly Sword Spike from the Ape Escape games It appears that some of these members may be unlockable through gameplay or when certain conditions are met. With the present confirmed cast, the roster for All-Star is shaping up to be quite the motley crew of battlers for the grand stage. Who else are you hoping to see make the list?
