Retailers' Various Pre-Order Bonuses for Assassin's Creed IV Revealed
Leah posted a article in Industry News
Is exclusive in-game content important to you in your games? Well, Ubisoft has revealed Assassin's Creed IV DLC pre-order bonuses for different retailers today. GameStop: Black Island treasure-hunting mission, Deadly Black Ship, Captain Morgan's costumes, and Captain Morgan's gun Amazon: Mystery Island treasure-hunting mission, Stede Bonnet's ship, and Stede Bonnet's costumes and other MP items Walmart: Sacrifice Island treasure-hunting mission, Captain Drake's dual wield swords and pistols, and Drake's picture, title, and relics Best Buy: Ivory Wheel and Spyglass Relic Target: Iron Wheel and Astrolab Relic Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be available for PS3, 360, and Wii U on October 29th. There are currently no release dates for the PS4 and PC versions. Where will you pre-order from? -
For all of those poor PC souls being left to defend themselves in the dark by Rockstar and their total lack of any PC support for Grand Theft Auto V, this might come as some good news. A PC port of the highly anticipated title has appeared for pre-order on the French Amazon website. Of course, you shouldn't get your hopes up just yet. These sorts of listings could always be the result of an error, but at the same time we've seen so many actual leaks coming from different foreign Amazon websites that its hard to tell anymore. I wouldn't hold my breath, but its worth keeping an eye on. You can view the pre-order page yourself at the link.

Pre-Order Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi and Get a Handsome Bandana
Leah posted a article in Sony
The sequel to the samurai romancing visual novel, Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom, will be ready for PSPs and Vitas starting February 19th! Except Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi isn't a visual novel, but a hack-and-slash game. Yup, you'll get to play as six of the samurai you know and love from the original game as you battle enemies and furies. Warriors of the Shinsengumi also contains two storylines – one where you“re able to relive the events of Demon of the Fleeting Blossom and one that takes place in an alternate universe where things happen quite differently. All retail copies of Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi will also come with a 16-page full-color character guide. Neat! But that's not all! If you pre-order from Amazon, you'll get your hands on a rather fetching bandana that features all of the playable samurai warriors of Warriors of the Shinsengumi. Will you be pre-ordering Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi for the really cool bandana?-

A few weeks ago I posted a news article about Walmart selling Preorder DLC for dirt cheap. As low as thirty five cents for each code. Now that Halo 4 has released, Walmart has actually delivered on all of those preorder codes. But it doesn't stop there. The preorder DLC for Halo 4 is back up for immediate purchase at the low low cost of $5 per code. While that is way more than the original thirty five cent price from last month, you have to take this little fact into account... The codes are selling for between $15-$20 on websites like ebay. So if you want to get that extra DLC for your freshly bought Halo 4, then head down to the link below and don't spend more than you have to on overly inflated codes. Also just a heads up, it can take between ten minutes and an hour before the code reaches your email address, Walmart Halo 4 DLC

Just a couple days ago, Natsume reported that Harvest Moon: A New Beginning for 3DS went gold as we slowly approach its release date of November 6th. They had also recently announced that pre-orders for the special 15th Anniversary Edition (that includes a 12" cow plushie) would end on October 23rd. But as of yesterday, there's a bit of pleasantly surprising news for those who have been eagerly awaiting their copy of A New Beginning. Yup, pre-orders for A New Beginning will start shipping TODAY. And that's not just for the 15th Anniversary Edition orders from the Natsume online store, either. This also applies to shipments to retail stores like GameStop, where you will see copies sitting on shelves as early as next week. For those worried that they should have ordered the 15th Anniversary Edition for that super cute, ginormous cow plushie sooner... It's still available for purchase until the 23rd of this month, as originally said!

We've all gotten used to the fact that today's special editions aren't actually rare. Almost every one you'll ever see has been mass produced to death. Surprisingly enough, that might not be the case with the Dead or Alive 5 Collector's Edition. Its just been listed as officially out of stock. At least for the Xbox 360 version so far. If you were to go to the American Gamestop website, you would find that the 360 version is currently out of stock. The same thing is true if you were to look on the Canadian EB Games website. Both are completely sold out. While the PS3 version is still available to preorder, postings on the gamefaqs and DOA World forums have stated that people have been turned away at the door when they tried to make their preorders in their respective stores. There's no word on if this is a nationwide occurrence or if either the Gamestop or EB Games websites will remain out of stock, but if you're considering buying it for the PS3 you should probably make your choice soon.

Just last week Nintendo finally shared the information we had all been waiting for about the Wii U. Two prices were announced as well as a launch date on November 18th. After that, it only took until the next few days for practically every big retailer to stop taking preorders on the system. GameStop in particular was the first to declare the Deluxe Set was sold out. A week after that announcement, GameStop has started up a Wii U Wait List. If you're a PowerUp Rewards member then you can give it a shot. You may be either a Pro or Free member and all that's required is that you visit a participating store and ask to be put on it. There's no deposit requirement or limit, and in fact won't even be allowed to put one down. All this list is for a small feeling of security that you are promised a Wii U system at some point. When? As this is just a simple wait list you're really not going to be privy to any information. There's no way to know what number you are on the list or when exactly your system will arrive. Currently GameStop is even saying they can't promise that a system will be guaranteed to wait list individuals before the holidays are over. At the very least, they have said they will give monthly updates through email but didn't offer more detail. Once your system is available you have only 48 hours to pick it up or miss out. Would you be willing to get on a wait list for the Wii U?

Get Your Very Own Giant Cow with Your Copy of Harvest Moon: A New Beginning
Leah posted a article in Nintendo
Fans that have been following news for the upcoming farming simulator, Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, for Nintendo 3DS already know about the ultra adorable yak plushie pre-order bonus Natsume is offering. Today, however, they've announced an extra special "15th Anniversary Edition" of A New Beginning. What's so special about it? A never-before-released giant cow plushie! This cow plushie is a whopping 12 inches. The 15th Anniversary Edition that includes it will only be available through the online Natsume store for $50. Pre-orders start on September 24th, so mark your calendars! For those not willing to cough up ten extra dollars, you can still pre-order A New Beginning for $40 and get the yak plushie bonus at participating retailers. Please note that you cannot get the yak plushie with the 15th Anniversary Edition, too (unfortunately!). Also, the game itself, whether you purchase the "standard" or "15th Anniversary Edition", is exactly the same. There is no special version of the game. Harvest Moon: A New Beginning will be available for purchase in North America on November 6th. Get ready for the most customizable Harvest Moon adventure yet, fellow farmers! What do you think of this premium cow plushie pre-order bonus? Will you be getting the 15th Anniversary Edition, or the standard edition with the yak plushie pre-order bonus instead?-

Pre-Order Harvest Moon: A New Beginning and Get a Super Cute Yak Plushie
Leah posted a article in Nintendo
Another Harvest Moon game means another adorable farm animal plushie as a pre-order bonus from Natsume. This time, anybody that pre-orders a copy of Harvest Moon: A New Beginning for 3DS will get a yak plushie (as seen to the right). Why a yak? They're making their first appearance in the series as an farm animal you can own in Harvest Moon: A New Beginning. Harvest Moon: A New Beginning is the first game in the series made exclusively for the 3DS. It brings a lot of firsts to the series, such as being able to customize how your whole farm looks and being able to change your character's appearance COMPLETELY from head to toe. That includes hair style and skin color! So far, the only confirmed retailer that will have the yak plushie pre-order bonus is GameStop. Natsume will be releasing more information on more ways to net the little guy sometime soon. -
Well, here's something new being done for pre-orders and special editions! Namco Bandai is not only bringing the special Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch - Wizard's Edition here to the states, but they're also offering the chance to include MORE goodies with it. That is, they'll put in more and more stuff depending on just how many pre-orders there are. Aptly named "Ninostarter", this Kickstarter-like campaign run by Namco Bandai will include more content in the Wizard's Edition package based on how many pre-orders are put down. So far, the Ninostarter is still reaching for goal #1 at 59%, which is for a set of 5 Ni no Kuni prints. Pre-orders contributing towards this campaign are valid only until August 31 of this year. So if you're thinking about purchasing the Wizard's Edition of Ni no Kuni, you'd better do it soon! I've already got mine ordered and have contributed towards Ninostarter, now it's your turn.
