Jason Clement posted a topic in NintendoIf you haven't seen it yet, the SNES Classic Edition's menu looks virtually identical in structure to the NES Classic's, which isn't too surprising. Still, it looks pretty cool, imo! Also, the music is a remix of the NES Classic's menu theme as well. Take a look/listen below. Man, that's a reallllly decent lineup of games too; can't wait to dig into it! Anyone else super excited for this?
Jason Clement posted a article in NintendoGood news for those waiting on info about when they can pre-order the much sought-after upcoming SNES Classic Edition -- Nintendo has confirmed that pre-orders will officially roll out later this month. The news comes as a relief to many since nothing has been said about when stores would offer pre-orders, and some rumors indicated that the big 'N' wanted retailers to not offer pre-orders but sell the stock on a first-come-first-serve basis while in-store. Interestingly enough, this confirmation also comes in just under a week since Walmart infamously canceled all of their pre-orders of the SNES Classic Edition. The reason? Walmart claimed the listing went up too early and was the result of a technical glitch. Rumors have also abounded about this situation, with some saying that it was a deliberate ploy to gauge just how crazy the market interest would be for SNES Classic Edition so Walmart could use the information to help Nintendo see they should produce more units this time around. At any rate, there you have it: SNES Classic Edition pre-orders start at the end of this month. Jason Clement posted a article in NintendoThrough a combination of deduction and rumor, we all knew the SNES Classic Edition was a thing that was coming. What we didn't realize was how soon it would be announced. That all changed today when Nintendo surprise-announced the classic console, which will include 21 classic SNES games and not one but two controllers. The kicker? It comes with the never-before-sold Star Fox 2 included as well. The full lineup of games included is as follows: Contra III: The Alien Warsâ„¢ Donkey Kong Countryâ„¢ EarthBoundâ„¢ Final Fantasy III F-ZEROâ„¢ Kirbyâ„¢ Super Star Kirby“s Dream Courseâ„¢ The Legend of Zeldaâ„¢: A Link to the Pastâ„¢ Mega Man® X Secret of Mana Star Foxâ„¢ Star Foxâ„¢ 2 Street Fighter® II Turbo: Hyper Fighting Super Castlevania IVâ„¢ Super Ghouls “n Ghosts® Super Mario Kartâ„¢ Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Starsâ„¢ Super Mario Worldâ„¢ Super Metroidâ„¢ Super Punch-Out!! â„¢ Yoshi“s Islandâ„¢ While there a few notable omissions, such as Chrono Trigger, both Donkey Kong Country sequels, both Kirby Super Star and Kirby's Dream Land 3, Actraiser, Pilotwings, and a few others, it is a surprisingly solid list that represents almost all of the very best games the SNES had to offer. Just having the four RPGs (Final Fantasy III, Earthbound, Secret of Mana, and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars) is pretty huge in and of itself. If you're looking forward to the SNES Classic, you'll be able to get your hands on one (or attempt to try to, at least) on September 29 for $79.99.
