Rockstar showed off some new screenshots of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 5, thanks to a question asked by some person who wasn't messing around.
"Why don't you give us more news?" a fan asked without preamble.
Rockstar gave the usual answer for this sort of thing, informing the question-asker that they wanted to give fans correct information, and wanting to hold back surprises for when the game actually released and whatnot. Then, like a parent producing candy after lecturing their child on the lesson of patience, Rockstar's responder offered a pair of pictures to show off just a small portion of the game.
Clearly helicopters are making a return, which fans will likely enjoy, because the cityscape available looks like it would be interesting to fly overtop. A second image was also revealed, however, that's a little more grounded.
This beachfront scene shows off what's presumably a couple of characters apart from the teem, some flora on the horizon, and water reflecting it all. It's good that they didn't just share the one above, because, if there's one shot to show off the work put into the game, it would be this one.
No official release date has been announced, so we'll keep an eye out for that, but it has been nearly a year since Grand Theft Auto V's announcement, so it'll probably be some time soon.
