The former PS Move centric Playstation 3 title Until Dawn was reintroduced yesterday by Sony and will now be coming to Playstation 4. The team at Supermassive Games decided to scrap the original version after receiving feedback from early tests. Until Dawn follows eight high school friends spending the night at a cabin in the woods. As the night goes on terror ensues as they are stalked by psychopathic murderers. Fun stuff, right? Who will survive is entirely up to the player as the decisions made directly impact the course of the branching story. The reimagined title runs on the same engine as Killzone: Shadow Fall so expect gorgeous visuals in addition to the horror thrills and chills. Also added were a Hollywood writing staff and the motion capture of Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), Rami Malik (Twilight) and Brett Daulton (Marvel“s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). Clearly Sony saw more potential in the game and decided to go all out. Steve Bitto posted a article in SonyRecently Sony revealed which games would be playable at Gamescom this August. While the list has since been removed from their website, a few previously unannounced titles caught a NeoGAF user's attention. According to the announcement, The Unfinished Swan, Journey and Until Dawn will all be playable on Playstation 4. Since Sony has already upgraded PSN games like Dead Nation and Flower for the PS4, it makes sense to include The Unfinished Swan and Journey as well. Journey is particularly deserving of a PS4 upgrade as it is one of the PS3's most decorated titles. More interesting however was the inclusion of Until Dawn. We reported earlier in June that Sony had updated and expanded Until Dawn's trademark and it now looks as though a Gamescom re-reveal is certain. Does this mean a larger focus on Project Morpheus? Possibly. Either way, these three games are welcome additions to Sony's Gamescom lineup which will likely include Media Molecule and Guerrilla Game's unannounced PS4 projects. It looks as though Sony is breathing life into their abandoned PS3 title, Until Dawn. Last week, Sony Computer Entertainment re-filed the game's trademark which they had previously let expire. The original trademark read simply, "Computer game software; video game software," but the new one is more detailed and references more than just the game itself. First it states, "Downloadable computer graphics; Downloadable images in the field of adventure and horror entertainment." So clearly Sony is sticking with the original Cabin in the Woods horror premise but may now be targeting a PSN exclusive release. In addition, the trademark references posters, providing consumer information and a website. This type of marketing seems like overkill for a downloadable-only title which could suggest a number of things. Sony could use them as hype building tools for an official reveal at either Gamescom or Tokyo Game Show or they could be used to market the game alongside Project Morpheus. Until Dawn could make for an interesting addition to a Project Morpheus bundle, no? Regardless, it looks as though Sony is prepping some kind of re-reveal. If you remember. Sony filed trademarks for Entwined and Bloodbourne in the months leading up to E3 so it's entirely possible that we could see Until Dawn very soon. Until then, keep it locked on Game Podunk for your gaming news. Source: Dualshockers Do you think Until Dawn is still Move-exclusive or has Sony added Project Morpheus support?
