  1. Nintendo announced in this week's Nintendo Direct that Nintendo 64 and DS games would finally be hitting the Wii U eShop. Super Mario 64 and Yoshi's Island DS are the first two games that have been released so far, with more on the way every week. The pricing on each both categories of games will differ, with N64 titles ranging from $10-13, and DS titles ranging from $7-10. However—similar to previous VC games on the Wii U eShop—if you happen to own a title already and have transferred it from your Wii to your Wii U, you can rebuy the Wii U version of that VC title for $2 (which will net you the ability to upgrade the game for use on Gamepad and customizable controls). DS games in particular will make use of both the Gamepad and the TV screen to display both DS screens, in addition to having multiple viewing modes for the player (with some having both screens appear entirely on the Gamepad in different ways). Here's a look at the release list for the rest of April for N64 and DS titles. April 9 Yoshi's Touch & Go (DS) WarioWare Touched! Nintendo Download: Featured Games 5/6/13

Today's eShop update is a bit bare, but there's at least one notable release on the schedule, which is the much anticipated Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Unfortunately, the game doesn't release until Sunday, but the good news is that it will be available for download from the 3DS eShop at 12am sharp that day. Aside from that, NES classic Spelunker joins the Wii U Virtual Console library and Yoshi is slated to do so as well next Wednesday as it succeeds Super Metroid as the next game in the 30 for 30 promotion. And finally, a few older Wii U titles receive some price-drops. 3. It seems that Kirby is the theme of the day in today's Nintendo Download update as three classic Kirby games have arrived on the Wii U eShop: Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dream Course, and Kirby's Dreamland 3. All three represent the entirety of Kirby's efforts on the SNES, with the exception of Kirby's Avalanche, which was a modified version of Super Puyo Puyo for North American audiences. Also, Nintendo is running a promotion where if you buy two of the Kirby games, you get the third free. The promotion ends on May 30 at 9am PST, so you have a week to decide if you want to go for it. Aside from that, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D makes its way to the 3DS eShop tomorrow (May 24th), as well as NARUTO Powerful Shippuden, which previously saw a retail release back in March. Finally, there's Groove Heaven, which is a new original rhythm game for the eShop.
