Jason Clement posted a article in SonyPlayStation Plus' free games lineup is about to get a pretty big bump in March 2018. For the first time in a while, Sony is offering two big first-party titles with From Software's Bloodborne and Insomniac's Ratchet and Clank. The former has been widely praised for being a great Souls-like game that's exclusive to PS4 while the latter received critical acclaim for being an excellent reboot of the Ratchet and Clank series. The rest of the offerings include THQ Nordic's Legend of Kay (an adventure game starring anthropomorphic animals) and Comcept's Mighty No. 9 for PS3 (the latter of which is Mega Man-like that's cross-play with PS4), as well as horror game Claire: Extended Cut and arcade game Bombing Busters (think Bomberman-like gameplay) for PS Vita; both of which are also cross-play with PS4. Here's the full list: Bloodborne (PS4) Ratchet and Clank (PS4) Legend of Kay (PS3) Mighty No. 9 (PS3, PS4) Claire: Extended Cut (PS Vita, PS4) Bombing Busters (PS Vita, PS4) And if you haven't heard yet, Sony announced that PS Plus will be dropping PS3 and PS Vita titles next year. What are your thoughts on March 2018's free game lineup for PlayStation Plus?
Steve Bitto posted a article in Sony[uPDATE] Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare is coming to Playstation 4 and Playstation 3. Popcap Games announced today that their popular title would debut on PS4 and PS3 August 19 in the US and August 21 in Europe. It will be packaged with the DLC packs, Garden Variety and Zomboss Down. [Original Story] Electronic Arts tweeted a number of images today mashing Plants vs. Zombies with various Playstation franchises including Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper and Fat Princess. Many believe the images are teasing an announcement of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare for Playstation 3, 4 and possibly Vita. All the pictures feature the same quote, "Shooters just got weird." A version of Plants vs. Zombies with a Playstation twist could be an interesting idea as well. Only time will tell however as to what the official announcement is actually for. Below are the three images EA tweeted today along with their taglines: It's time for an announcement... Ratchet & Clank is one of those series that has developed a great fan following over the years. Since the first game launched on PS2, we've seen multiple titles continue onto PS3. It looks like there's at least one more Ratchet & Clank game coming to PS3 as well. Insomiac Games made a post to the PS Blog which has revealed Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus as the "epilogue to the Future games". The game is a PS3 exclusive and will be available in time for the 2013 holiday season. In the case of Into the Nexus, it is also a download only title. It will cost $30 on PSN and also happens to have the largest file size of any other Ratchet & Clank PS3 games. This is either good or bad, depending on who you ask. That's all we know right now so feel free to check out the announcement trailer:
John Kidman posted a article in Industry NewsIt is hard to believe that Ratchet & Clank is closing in on nearly an entire decade of Lombaxian misadventures. Insomniac Games, the studio behind the dynamic duo, is preparing for the release of another chapter in their ongoing saga next month with Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault. Full Frontal Assault is a concentrated adventure, most comparable to Quest For Booty, however it will contain both new mechanics and the same familiar feel that made the franchise famous. The game follows the Q-Force as they traverse six new levels, supporting up to four players online in co-operative and and competitive multiplayer modes. One of the biggest draws for Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is undoubtedly the recently announced $19.99 price tag and support of Sony's burgeoning Cross-Buy promotion. Playstation 3 owners can get their Lombax fix via retail outlets and digital distribution, but Vita owners will be limited to either a digital purchase or transfer from the Playstation 3 console. Full Frontal Assault will be available on November 27. Insomniac's 10th anniversary celebration may not entirely be at a close despite already releasing the Ratchet & Clank Collection last August. The Senior Community Manager for Insomniac Games noted on the official Playstation Blog that Deadlocked HD may actually be made available by the end of the year to conclude their celebration.
