After looking at Johnny C's thread about a Bugs Bunny game it reminded me of all the classics I played back in the good old days. I remember playing non stop on these games and how hard they are compared to games of today. Here is my list of favorites that kept me entertained as a kid.

Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle

Chip 'n Dale Rescue rangers

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2

It was strange but I could never get far in this game in multi player but in single player I got to the final boss.

Battle Toads

This game multi player is a must because it is crazy hard.

Tom and Jerry

Tiny Toons

Dick Tracy

A few others to name are Mega Man, Yonoid, Mario 1,2 and 3. So what where your favorite NES games GP?

I was just discussing this with John Kidman (dyeknom) the other day on Twitter as well; Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle, C&C:RR, and Tiny Toons were all games that I really enjoyed playing back in the early '90s.

A lot of people give Yo! Noid a lot of grief, but I still think it was a competent licensed platformer back then and I had fun with it. Another game I really enjoyed was Snake, Rattle, and Roll.

Fun fact: Snake, Rattle, and Roll was also one of Rare's earliest games. :)

For some reason I'm having a hard time remembering NES games right now (keep thinking about SNES things, oops). There is one game that comes to mind which is really neat though and that's Gimmick!. Not only is it pretty fun it also has great music.

NES, the good old days. SMB 3 was probably my favorite since it is my first game ever that I owned. I got TMNT Arcade and TMNT 2 I believe. I loved the arcade one. I beat it by myself before too. Ninja Gaiden was incredibly hard for a little kid like myself back then. I don't think I got past the 3rd or 5th stage. The saddest part is my NES broke :(. I need to buy another one. I got the 2 Zelda games that I want to play.

O god don't get me started on Battletoads. Now there is a game they need to release for free, just to piss off the populace XD Like give it a Platinum for beating the game it's that hard. Give a new Diamond Trophy for beating in in 2 players

But keep the glitches so making it probably impossible for most.

I love Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle! I played the game when I was younger, so when I got another NES about 10 years ago I decided to track that game down. I figured I may not like it anymore since my tastes had changed, but once I got it, I found it was just as fun now as it ever was.

Also on my favorites list would be Super Mario Bros. 1-3, Contra, Double Dragon II, Balloon Fight, Punch-Out!!, and River City Ransom.

I'm gonna have to say that my favorite NES game is Zelda 2 followed by Legend of Zelda, Balloon Fight, and Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels.

I can never stop gushing on about Zelda 2 since it's so brilliant in execution. I wasn't going in with the expectations of Zelda 2 being in the same style as the original, and I came out all the better for it. The gameplay is addicting, the platforming fun, the exploration brilliant, the music gorgeous, and the quest epic. It's just one of those games that just scream out fun at the top of their lungs. It's quirkiness only helps it, like the original Super Mario Land, and the difficulty was just right. It saddens me that people are so determined to hate it :(

Contra was a classic and definitely a hard game. I could only beat it using the Konami cheat code. I'd even say it was harder than Battletoads, because I beat that without cheating.

I only finished the original Contra using the Konami Code and two continues. XD

Super Contra and Contra Force (and pretty much every other Contra game, but I'm just doing NES here) are no different...they're both quite difficult, although I think the biggest difficulty of Force is overcoming it's design, not it's enemies.

But at least they all have awesome music to listen to while you die. ^_^

GODZILLA: KING OF MONSTERS! I rented that game sooo many times when I was a kid. I FINALLY got it for X-mas one year and played it non-stop. idn't beat it for at least a year, took about 4-5 hours to beat the game in one sitting. I left that game on all the time tryin gto finish it.

THinking back now it's just a go left to right game and hit b and a..... but still it was boss. Great Soundtrack for a Nintendo Game

Super Mario even my non gaming mother loves it lol.

Also like this racing game you drove on streets and the cars where 90's regular cars built for speed.
I have been looking for it for a while but I just can't remember the name so I havent found it.
I use to be so obsessed with it that I had dreams about it lol.
