Mine still remains the "If they came to hear me beg" Achievement on Halo reach. Took me a while to get it but it felt good when I did.
This is a sample video of the achievement. Not mine but someone else BTW ^^
Enjoy!

I was incredibly proud to get every achievement in Rayman Origns, though. That definitely took some effort.

@ Kezins Mad props for beating battletoads man!! I remember playing that game and not even being able to clear the first couple levels.
If we count pre achievement days it would be playing Ninja Gaiden and placing within 100 in the 2nd Master Ninja Tournament ^^

Oh yeah I remember getting the Mile High one. That was pretty satisfying too ^^.

Thanks. I threw my controller a bunch of times on Battletoads. My skills have deteriorated a little over the years, so I don't think I could beat it now. My current goal is to beat Demon's Souls this summer and move on to Dark Souls. I don't like the stress of games like that, but once you beat them, you can't put a price on the happiness it brings you.

If I had a PS3 I would be all over Demon Soul's but knowing I will never get the chance.
I watched a speed run of Demon Souls.
I recommend you check them out *only* after you finished the games ^^

Speaking of more semi-older school stuff, I was also pretty proud of doing the hellish 15 minute melee in Super Smash Bros: Melee, aka 15 minutes of tapping down b with Donkey Kong (and panicking when interrupted). The stage unlock wasn't worth the pain, but a feat I was proud of accomplishing none the less. Too bad I lost all of my data when my friend accidently overwrote it when I brought the memory card over to their place (of course the game gives you the option to overwrite your data as soon you boot of the game, if you didn't have the memory card in right away...)
What? You mean I can't talk about old Sony in Nintendo games in a Microsoft thread? Oh well...

I keep saying this but Dark Souls is well worth your time ^^

dude you should get a ps3 then. I just got demon souls, and can't wait to play it. Probably will play it this summer once I get a new TV for my room. I am excited now but I bet once I play it i'll be really angry that I can't beat it haha.

As for trophies and achievements. Yeah... some companies actually take the time to make good and creative ones while some companies are just stupid and lazy.
I think that Valve is a company that does achievements very well. Bad example... well any achievement that simply makes you collect things is annoying in my opinion.
Any thoughts on what makes a good achievement or not?

As far as achievements I'm proud of, they're mostly the same old veteran and legendary achievements from the CoD and Halo series, respectively.
However, since we're talking about memorable, I will list the following:
Halo 3: ODST: "I Like Fire" I do like fire.
Deadlight: (Everything?) Haven't actually played it yet, but it seems like they're all 80's song titles.
CoD WaW: "Big Baller" & "Perkaholics Anonymous" I am actually proud of these. Acquired them all by myself.
CoD MW2: "Red Dawn" Part of it required to complete level "Wolverines!" References to Red Dawn movie.

I don't have much else I'm proud of, though. I give up on achievements and trophies alike if they're too tough/annoying.

But I'm pretty sure platinum Skyrim is going to top that.
Only have 1 more trophy to go Oblivion Walker: Collect 15 Deadric Artifacts.
I plan to start a new character with the new DLC and get that trophy.

So far little sister savior on Bioshock 1 has the most emotional value.

I got 100% for Oblivion and that was kinda cool. I played through the game a couple more times after that. The achievements for it weren't ones you had to focus on which I liked. I like just playing a game without worrying about any trophies or achievements.
