If you recall, Nintendo unveiled a real-life Mario Kart designed by West Coast Customs last year at the L.A. Auto Show in order to promote Mario Kart 7 (which was released in December).

Nintendo had also announced on that day that the real-life Mario Kart would be given away to one lucky winner of GameStop's Epic Reward Giveaway contest, and now the winner has been chosen and revealed to be Nathanial Stehley, 27, of Clarksville, Tennessee.

Mario and a few representatives from Nintendo and GameStop arrived at Nathanial's home on Feb 28th to deliver the kart (which is fully driveable, by the way). It's definitely one cool prize to win, as I imagine it cost quite a bit to make a custom kart like that.

Now all we need is about seven more of those and we can finally hold a real-life Mario Kart tournament; someone get West Coast Customs on the phone right now!

That is a pretty interesting prize. I wonder how much that thing actually cost, and does it fire giant mushrooms?

If it fired giant mushrooms, I'd buy it for almost any amount of money. Of course my wife would kill me. She already thinks I have too much in the way of video game stuff. LOL

I thought this was one of the more interesting prizes but don't think I'd want to win it. Or if so, then just have to immediately turn around and sell it. Of course look how big that thing is! It'd HAVE to be local pick up only, haha.

I had the same exact thought, Marcus. Where are they gonna put that thing? lol

I'm always terrified of the thought of winning one of these sorts of contests. I can just imagine answering the door in my pajamas with a scraggly beard and an unkempt afro.

Also, no seatbelt?! The first time he gets hit by a shell he's going to spin out and die.

You have to pay taxes on contest winnings like this, right? Since they're so high in value?

As to where he's going to put it, in the garage of course! Just have to move his and his wife's other vehicle outside...

Yep. You have to report any prize over $599 I believe.
