Stan Lee, the godfather of Marvel, was announced to be a playable character in the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man video game.
The news broke out during an interview held in London's Super Comic Convention. This will mark the first time Stan Lee has been officially featured in a game.
While he has been involved in many Marvel games in the past, mainly adding voice overs and narration, his appearance in the Amazing Spider-Man will be the first his time being shown in his full likeness.
Beenox is still withholding information on just how Stan Lee will play into the game, but all likely hunches are he will be an unlockable character skin.
Amazing Spider-Man will be arriving on June 26 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, and 3DS consoles.

As a novelty, the inclusion of Stan Lee has my interest slightly perked, but really only very slightly. I really loved Spider Man on the Game Cube. Jumping from tall buildings --- so exhilarating! I do wonder what made Stan Lee decide to be a part of this game, though. Why now?

I hope the game ends up being good. Spider-Man games have always been hit or miss for me. It always feels like a risk.

From what I know, Stan Lee only cameos in things if he thinks it's gonna be good.
