In the upcoming Game Informer cover featuring some new information regarding Halo 4, 343 Studio's rendition of Master Chief's AI companion Cortana gets a new look.

From the looks of Cortana and the latest screen shots, 343 Studio's is definitely trying to make their own unique mark on the series and not remain within Bungie's developmental shadow.

Mingled with the previous footage shown of the game, it certainly feels like the style will take a more realistic look and feel (well, as realistic as giant genetically modified super space soldiers can get anyway).

She has certainly come a long way from Bungie's previous digitized look. With the new look for Cortana, what other changes does 343 Studio have in store for the Halo series?

How will Halo 4 stack up to Bungie's productions? Only time will tell.

What do you all think of Cortana's new look?

She looks good, Damn good. Just how I like my holographic blue women. Too bad I don't have a 360 anymore, this is one of the few games I wanted to play on it.

I do have to say that I like her new look. I read the gameinformer article about Halo 4 yesterday and my hopes have definitely gotten higher for the game. While I am a big fan of Bungie, I felt like the series had gone downhill a little. Halo 2 was definitely my favorite game. I honestly didn't like Reach that much. I'm hoping 343 can make Halo 4 really interesting and it looks like they are headed in the right direction. I like how multiplayer will now have a story attached to it.

I think this is the second time they've...er...upgraded her firmware...

I've got to say, upon hearing what changes 343 are making to the game, I have absolutely no interest in it. It's just going to be CoD in space.

@Number 905 but isn't that Infinity Ward's Idea for their next CoD?

I don't think it will be just CoD in space. For a start im guessing the single player will take longer than an evening to complete. Also I prefer the multiplayer for games like Halo where each player starts out on an even playing field. Where it's actually down to skill but an inexperienced player can still have a chance to kill you.
Whilst im not a massive fan of the series I have played all the games & am most curious as to how 343 will continue the series as It was far too obvious that Bungie were bored with the franchise come Reach.

The problem is, that's all going out the window. Sprint is a default ability, loadouts extend to weapons now, and any weapons on the map will be random drops. Instead of being a game about using map control to deny weapons and powerups to the opposition, it's just going to be what we've been playing since Call of Duty 4.

I disagree. I think the fact that the weapon drops are random means that teams have to be diverse, using multiple specializations and weapons, and have to use communication in order to maintain control of the map and win. Bungie isn't developing Halo anymore, so of course there are going to be changes. Don't like it, don't buy it.

I am a huge Halo fan, especially Halo Reach and the Forge. Gosh the hours I spent on that thing. Aircraft carriers, Battleships, Star Destroyer, Enterprise, you name it I probably did it. I just hope that anyone can play on my maps, but not change them. And in a way I can see Halo 4 mirroring COD, but only slightly. As far as I can tell at this point, Halo is starting a brand new thing. Gonna be big.

Cortana looks like Ada Wong or Anna Williams now. Master Chief must be saying Woohoo! Hell yeah! underneath the helmet.

I'm having enough difficulties dealing with someone other than Bungie developing Halo games and 343 studios changing the looks of beloved characters like Cortana is not helping.
