Like James Remar in Mortal Kombat Annihilation, Mortal Kombat fans can expect their Raiden to look different in the PlayStation Vita version of Mortal Kombat, as well as all the other characters, as new costumes will be available for the handheld version.

Several other changes have been announced in Mortal Kombat for Vita, including the addition of 150 Challenge Tower missions, throwing in all the DLC from the console version of the game, and balancing the characters differently than they were in the original console versions.

Since the game is being dressed up in a new platform, NetherRealm Studios decided that dressing the characters up in new outfits would go well with that. So Vita-owners who love Mortal Kombat, push those Christopher Lamberts out of the way and get ready for some new fashion.

This announcement comes with a live-action trailer as well, with Kitana. Seems as if she's in basically the same outfit, but it's a neat trailer anyway. Check it out!

Mortal Kombat comes to the Vita on May 1, 2012.
