I am not sure if you guys are away but playxbla.com an official website by microsoft to promote XBLA games has been running a special event almost every week.

The event is called Weekend Cheeve Challenge and what it is is that you play certain XBLA games to get Achievement and if you get enough achievements they will send you random XBLA games, period.

I have participated twice and received 4 codes already.

I wanted to create a thread here where we can share what we did what we received etc ^^

The Splatters and Anomaly Warzone for participating ^^

Also they did pic of the day things where you come up with captions and they also give you XBLA codes for that. A very good website and the best part is that if you do what is required you are guaranteed codes ^^

Yup, went ahead and moved this for ya.

I've been trying to focus more on beating games and less on achievement grinding, so I'm not sure about this...but free games are tempting...I'm very conflicted.

Tempting indeed. Thankfully (or not), I have two excuses why I can't #1: I only have Radiant Silvergun (and getting the other two achievements could prove difficult, especially because that game is really hard.) and #2: I am without a television for the next week so I technically can't play my 360 (or PS3 or Wii... or even PS2 *yes, I play that thing still*) until another week or two. I'll keep tabs on this site though.

Edit: Old contest, doh, but you get the idea.

Well then I'll definitely have to look into it. Luck usually isn't on my side, so requirements would be better haha.

I've done their weekend challenge since it began and lucky enough to have at least 2 of the games needed for the challenges though getting the achievements aren't always easy. At times it requires work to get though the rewards are more than make up for it.

I have Limbo and Shadow Complex. I have zero of the Limbo Cheevs and 3 of the Shadow Complex Cheevs so I will definitely participate this week.

Some tips.

If you have zero of the games... I wouldnt try unless you really have a lot of time.
The most time consuming will probably be Shadow Complex esp if you want all 4.
The shortest Limbo but you will need to use help from youtube etc and if you are playing for the first time you will ruin your experience.
Bloodforge I heard is a pretty terrible game so not worth getting it ^-^

Ended up getting a code for the Hybrid Beta and a DLC code the Evil Empire for Toy Soldiers: Cold War. I've got both of those already, anyone up for a trade? If not I'll probably just randomly drop them at some point.

New challenge posted and boy is it a hard one! Games are Fable: Heroes, Toy Soldiers: Cold War Napalm DLC (not sure I like that), and Alien Hominid HD.

Some real tough ones in this lot.

Yeah I agree that this weeks is a bit tough. Maybe too many people were winning and MS stopped wanting to giveaway semi free stuff ^^. Since all I have is Alien Hominid and I don't think the other two are worth it I think I will pass this week T.T
