You're right... The Wii motion controller and Super Smash Bros. were soooooo innovative.....

He never mentioned it being innovative, just that Sony, and other companies as well, still see a need to copy Nintendo instead of going their own way. Given the Move and this mouthful of game, it seems a pretty valid claim.

Sony is free to do the same and has offered a far more diverse selection of games this generation than Nintendo.

I'm hoping Sony will do what they usually do, take Nintendo's concept and make it a whole lot better.Well yeah, not that anyone didn't think this was a BLATANT SSB ripoff. Nintendo is still leader, while Sony remains the lesser and the follower.

Having online play at all as opposed to that...thing Brawl had, will definitely be better. That said, I share the same sentiments about doubting the overall game a fair amount, mainly because all I see from the gameplay vids is a race for powerups/special meter which I think would get old pretty fast compared to the less health based affair that Super Smash is known for (where sometimes just staying afloat can mean much more than hurting the other player, which changes the overall gameplay dynamic a fair amount...plus Smash has always had a Stamina mode too *which gets old kind of quick compared to the main game*).I can't imagine the online play being worse than Brawls. That's a big advantage from the get-go.

I don't think so. Even if they manage to mess up the mechanics as bad as Smash Bros. does, I can't imagine the online play being worse than Brawls. That's a big advantage from the get-go.
