I'll be honest, the contest sucked me in ;)... Lollypop Chainsaw just looks too weird/cool to pass up lol.

I just moved to Charleston, SC and I am loving beach life.

I game about 80% on 360 and the remaining 20% on PC. I also quite enjoy retro gaming... I still bust out my Genesis and Dreamcast from time to time.

I mostly play XBLA games. Trials Evolution has been taking up most of my time lately. I enjoy 2D platformers and classic game remakes/re-releases (Castlevania SotN FTW!). I love shumps and 2D fighters as well.

Feel free to shoot me a friend request on XBL if you'd like... my gamertag is: KGSoloman8000

Don't worry, you're certainly not the first or the last to arrive because of the contest. ;)

Welcome to Game Podunk; nice to see a retro gamer around here. That reminds me, I should bust out my SNES and give that a whirl again sometime; it's been too long. :D

Welcome! I'm also into retro-gaming, though my library of classic titles is relatively small. If you're into Nintendo (also for you Jason), I recommend NintendoAge as well. You can B/S/T to your hearts content all things retro and modern. It's great fun but they don't do contests quite as well as GamePodunk. ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I forgot to mention that I am a huge pinball fan. I love both Pinball FX2 and the recently released Pinball Arcade. Any other pinheads out there?

I love the SNES too. That amazing console ate up most of my youth lol.

As for other forums, I am an active forum member on CheapAssGamer (where I found out about the contest) and Zen Studio's forums.

Hey there sp8001 and welcome to our site! Don't worry, many of us originally came here because of offers of fun prizes :). Hopefully you'll find that the community is also neat and worth sticking around in.

I'm glad to see another fan of retro games! The SNES in particular is totally awesome and I think it's probably my favorite console of that generation. As for the Dreamcast; it's so incredibly under appreciated. That machine had some amazing games and it's such a shame it didn't get more recognition when it was out.

Hope to see you around the site!

I completely agree regarding the Sega Dreamcast. I bought mine on launch day when I was in the 8th grade... It was so far ahead of its time. It is nice to see it getting a little more recoginition recently with the re-releases of some of the classics. Jet Grind Radio is slated to hit XBLA sometime this year. Sucks that the soundtrack wont be completely intact though.

I've been wanting to run thru Dino Crisis again. I beat it on PSX back when it came out, and I have had a DC copy for years now. I think I might do that this week. Replaying a game 10+ years later is awesome... I remember certain key events, but most of the games I replay feel completely new and fresh. I also get flashbacks of memories I had while playing certain games... Like sleepovers I used to have with friends back in grade school when we would marathon play thru the night. Those are always fond memories. I miss being a kid, lol.

I have two Dreamcasts. It's still one of my all-time favorite consoles of any generation. I believe I was five or so when my dad introduced me to it. Back then I could only play 101 Dalmations and other family-friendly titles. Nowadays I can relive my youth with Typing of the Dead, which is seriously my favorite Dreamcast game. Well, aside from MDK2. I'd venture to say that the DC was actually more fun than the PS2. While the library was much smaller, there were some truly standout titles that I still fire up the old console from time to time. Under Defeat was actually quite good. It's a fairly recent release despite the DC being, what, 14 years old or so?
